I'll enjoy my summer which is hotter than the last two summers, but not hotter than the two prior to those.

The fact that this summer is hotter is evidence of Global Warming! And the fact that the previous two summers weren't as hot is evidence of Global Warming! Don't you know? EVERYTHING is evidence of Global Warming!

Oh of course Global Warming is bullshit, don't believe the Tons of scientific data on the subject. Those scientists, man they don't know shit. And I was just kidding about recycling. I think we should all buy as much disposable shit as possible and trash our whole planet. While were at it, I an breathe a little too easy. Would you people please, for the love of god start driving SUV's. I know the gas is expensive, but hey, you are helping out americka by polluting and buying wasteful, disposable shit. God Bless Amerika. Land of the ignorant destroyers of the Earth.

Best way to cut down on polution is just to reuse stuff. I think it is the most effective thing that everyone can do. Old electronics can always be sold, fixed, repaired, donated. Same thing with clothe. Though most people don't give a shit to what will happen to the earth once they're maggot food. People are selfish dumbasses. Oh well that's life...

Reusing stuff is a great way to cut down on trash. Reducing the amount we buy is the most effective, but also one of the hardest, because there are very few alternatives out there. There are plenty of people who care, but most of them don't have enough information. Its not like big media is pointing this stuff out, why would they? They are a big corportation themselves. Even alternative media seems to either push it aside, or you get these ignorant assholes who try to prove that global warming is all bullshit and that everything is just fine. Hey landfills are a great alternative to old growth forests! You can put a golf course there! How nice.

Oh of course Global Warming is bullshit, don't believe the Tons of scientific data on the subject. Those scientists, man they don't know shit.

I have actually talked to several climatologists working in the field, and I've actually studied the original peer-reviewed scientific papers. Science has concluded:

  • Average temperatures on the planet are rising
  • Humans are one of the reasons why
That's IT. There is NO SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER for all these gloom-and-doom scenarios. Science just doesn't know what this global climage change is going to result in. There are many potential detriments, but there are also many potential benefits as well.

I find it interesting that whenever something changes we always think it's because of us humans.
But the Earth is constantly changing and evolving.
Maybe this is just what the Earth does.

Maybe this is just what the Earth does.

And we're part of the Earth; cerainly we have an effect. We've been having an effect on the environment for 8,000 years, according to recently published findings. We're a part of it.

Yes, I understand that, but maybe this warming trend is just what happens.
We do fuck up the place good enough, but I prefer to know about all sides of this kind of stuff.
Not just the Green Peace propaganda.

The best way to cut down on pollution, is to make the stuff last longer.

I have heard way more propogand from the other side. The Natural balance of the earth is way out of wack, and it IS because of us. Look, even if the polar ice caps don't melt, which they will if this warming trend continues, it has been proven, its what causes the global warming that is the real problem, not the flood.
Even if the costlines flood, (It would never be all of the land as in Water World) we could deal with that. It would suck, but the masses of humans could move to higher ground, but how polluted would our air be by then. You can't suggest that the tons and tons of polloution that we pump into the air, ground, and water is a good thing, can you?
We still don't undersand what some of the long term effects of this will be, yet we contine to allow this to go on. Why? It not because its "No big deal". Its not because these scienists are just being alarmist. Its because it makes these bastards money. Thats the ONLY reason. Would'nt it be much better to have a clean earth?
Right now there are only 6.2 billion of us. When I was a kid it was  was 3.5 billlon, and this rate of growth is excelleratiing. Even if that wasn't a big enough problem on its own, we have already proven that we are damaging the earth, just imagine what 12 billion of us will do.

It's not thing that are supposed to last failing that is the problem, it is things that are designed to throw away that makes most of the waste.
