If you're a visitor, forums and blogs aren't your place to block spam.  You have to view the displayed page like everyone else.  You could block the ads, I do it here.  But the text posts, thats up to the owner of the site.

As far as email, just forward your contacts list like a filter to a secondary mailbox.  I'm in the process of updating my g-mail contacts list, organizing it, and utilizing its settings.  Its a little laborious, but once its done should provide me with some interesting features.

I don't know what sort of magic genie you're gonna pay five bucks to do this, all in one convenient package...  but I imagine you'd still have to click on the individuals to manually block them - then they'd remain blocked forever.  You already have this option.  I don't think you want to rely on the artificial intelligence of teh webz to selectively show you what it "thinks" you might want to see.  Or a service generated algorithm that filters out stuff delivered from a source that is 98% blocked by other users.  You could just get an AOL mailbox if you want your mail seriously fucked up.

Well you get what you pay for.

That makes absolutely no sense.

Well if you want to receive spam you have a free email account. If you only wanted legitimate contacts you might set a price to contact you.

I would pay $25 for a 50-round box of ammo to kill 50 spammers. Oh, wait....

I would pay nothing. I would however agree to get an email address where the sender would have to pay one cent for every email they send into my inbox.
This.  I was about to post that I would pay just about nothing though.  Maybe 25c a month though.  Not much really though.
