Why not just close it to edits?
Deleting stuff that people have worked to put up -- especially show info -- would be an act of extreme bad faith. Why donate any effort to FTL, if Ian is likely to drop your efforts down the memory hole?
I'm not saying I agree or disagree with it. I just work here.
In general I prefer keeping sites live as long as possible for archival purposes even if it's no longer practical to continue maintaining them. But MW is a fast moving target and was becoming a maintenance hassle.
