What to do with intolerant people in the liberty movement?
« on: January 04, 2011, 03:34:09 PM »

My fellow posters:
I am afraid one of us has lost the way. I will not go into to much detail but this poster has shown intolerance to certain nationalities and personality types. This is simply wrong among people who hold individuals freedoms to go about their day without being harassed as a good thing. I submit this recent quote from this individual as evidence. Please judge for yourself.
"Every (a nationality) is as annoying as you."
I find it sad that any liberty minded person would make such a general statement. I am sure some people of that nationality are not annoying at all.
I hope we, together can help this person find the right path toward tolerance and understanding.
I have no desire to ostracise this individual, because this person may be a asset of the community at large, I merely wish coaxing conversation with kindness and understanding so that the healing can begin.

Thank you
AL

Do you mean people like Ian that will make fun of you if you aren't 100% voluntarist?  I don't worry too much about them because they are such a small percentage of folks (although I've met many in Keene and Manchester).

I think if you were to perform oral sex on him, he might see the many benefits of kindness and compassion and change his intolerant ways.

I have been listening to a lot of Stefan Molyneux lately. When I don't fall asleep, I feel real smart after I hear him.
Evidently all of the personal problems in the world are my Moms fault.
Nope wait it isn't, it's caused by childhood trauma, I guess. So evidently BJ was annoyingly whacked repeatedly in kindergarden with a toy battle-ax by a little girl in a viking costume. This is indeed tragic. It led to a lifetime of believing that all Scandic people are annoying. It is of course easy to understand his feelings.
But I submit that we can all work together to make BJ understand, not all Scandinavians are annoying, just most of them.
Please don't judge us as one BJ. We are individuals. Judge each individual after they annoy you.
Koom-by-ya BJ Koom.....by......ya.

I find your issues with this bizarre given your post about MA.

I'm agreeing with the train of thought that says that BJ tells jokes. Cuz he does.

Yes. I know, :( but I have seen the light now.
Racism Bad, Judgementalism good. I am just trying to follow my interpretation of the NAP as I try and correct the behaviour of others I judge to be incorrect.
You see, I believe it is important to correct incorrect behaviour correctly coercing in a correct manner of correctness, politically correct of course.
Correct?
Obviously BJ is collectively judging a everyone from Northern Europe in a collective way. Did you know every Scandinavian country has its unique sort of troll?
You see what I am saying?
