Ewwwww

Some of the very best winemakers are selling their wines in a box now. It stores way better, and doesn't get "corked," either. Also, some of the very best wines now come with screw tops, because an international consortium of wine exporters did a bunch of long term tests and determined that was actually the best way to safely ship and store bottles of wine. Corks are also on their way out because they're too expensive and not environmentally sensitive enough. In fact, many wines that still use corks use plastic ones, some that are obvious, in blue or red or swirls or whatever, but some plastic corks are actually made to look like real corks, and can only be identified as fake upon close inspection.

I don't drink wine, because it gives me a headache almost every time. I drink vodka. Cheap vodka and lo-cal cranberry juice. I believe it is the fountain of youth, and I shall live to be 100 preserved by cheap booze and Splenda.

I'm not too big on wine either.  It just doesn't taste all that great to me.

Hmm.  That sounds tasty.  I should've thought about these things and made a list before I went to the grocery store the other night.

Mel bought some the other day because since the move she's been all domesticy and shit. She's cooked every night since Sunday.

To give you some perspective, she has never cooked dinner, ever, apart from maybe five or six times in the microwave, since we met.

She needed the apple juice for this turkey dinner she made the other night. It was excellent. I'm eating leftovers right now.

Hot water.

Hey! That's what we're drinking, too. Except, I've run the hot water through Trader Joes Super Dark Volcano Blend, freshly ground.
Seemed better than basic hot water, to go with a ginger roasted pear, ice cream & a triple ginger thin cookie.
