I've posted message #559478 - the following silly little reply on my silly little "
Smoking is Good for You" thread:
There's a good reason why governments got their plebs addicted to tobacco by supplying it for free during WW1 and encouraging an "if you don't smoke you're a pussy" attitude - it is psychologically favorable to encouraging toughness and willingness to take risks. This is precisely the reason governments of today want it phased out...
... but that message never appeared on the thread! It's not on the bottom of
page 2 and it's not at the top of
page 3! It fell through the cracks! It does, however, appear in
my "last posts" history (scroll down to today, 8/10/2009, at 11:00:45 AM) and it appears in the "Topic Summary" below the textarea if you hit
reply on that thread.
I've had the exact thing happen on this forum once before - on my "
Demographic Winter" thread. Once again my post is invisible to me between
page 2 and
page 3, but it appears elsewhere and
atomiccat was able to quote it.
I tried viewing it with other browsers and without logging in - same thing. It doesn't appear in the source, so it's not any sort of an HTML rendering issue.
Weird, eh?
Please confirm if you can / can't see that message on the original thread, and which page (2 or 3) it appears on.
