...and I'M not sitting in a fucking jail cell getting my salad tossed by a large black man, dumb cunt

I don't think that happens nearly as much in reality as it does in gay porn.

And if it does, it's consensual.

i really wouldn't know about the homo-side-of-the-fence........
i was simply trying to paint a picture of the trade-off of ''standing up for the right to paint naked tits in public'' & getting sent to the shithouse for your misguided energies & what kind of fun times can be had in prisons, as opposed to protesting, say, property laws, where a greater % of the populace might support your efforts, maybe a law gets changed for the greater good.

those laws are there to protect childrens eyes from the sight of boobies.  It's in the constitution since everyone knows the sight of boobies makes children die.

Maybe showing boobies and drinking is more important an issue to these people than protesting the property taxes and other laws of that ilk. Maybe we should ask them :P

I don't really hold what Denis has to say as that important anymore or activists for that matter, it seems in less than a month a lot of people have chucked their rattle out of the crib and are crying about others instead of examining how what they are, or are not doing, is helping, or not helping, the progress of liberty. It's much easier to bitch about others than examine and critic your own actions. Although I do wonder what some people (like Denis) would have told Gandhi, "No Gandhi, we must work within the system, trust me, the British will change." Or perhaps the underground railroad, perhaps we should have worked within the system to free the slaves instead of actually freeing them, whatever.

People are picking and choosing things to bleat out they are right to an audience that is sick and tired of the petty bullshit, let's grow up people. I agree, the activist should focus on something big, like property taxes, or running a business without the states involvement, that will garner lots of support, but open carry laws, wtf? Talk about a hill not to die on, and they do this every night? My guess is most people in Keene now see them as a bunch of alcoholic wankers, I don't, but statists will, thats the way they think. I'm sorry but who decided to make open container laws the issue to die for, seriously? Protest property taxes, don't pay them and when someones house is going to get taken away have hundreds sit outside and in it. But the big issues take time to boil up and become noticed, they aren't instant media grabbing events and that seems to be the thing people in Keene want, to be the center of attention. It's almost like certain people are chasing a chance at fame instead of actual liberty.

It seems both sides have become nothing more than attention whores. Examples of great activisim, even though the people doing it might not say so, Savannah last biscuit, Shaw doing pickles, Mandrik doing his backlava, FIJA out reach, CopBlock, Photography is not a crime, Liberty on Tour, Free Talk Live of course, and frankly I think FTL is a hell of a lot of work, I'd sooner see Ian keep it going than see him get arrested. I'm not sure he understands just how many people his show reaches and gets the message out to, very effective.

You can't get in peoples faces or they will tell you to go fuck yourself, same with giving the state a rim job like Denis, that does not work either, never has. I don't think what Denis does is troll either, maybe he does sometimes, like the activists I think he may be frustrated that things are not moving as fast as they want them to, well they won't, especially when both "groups," seem to be trolling each other instead of doing something for liberty. Find a happy medium or end up making no progress at all. I know it's easy for me to bitch, I'm not even there, but from an outsiders perspective this is what I see. I don't mean to be a prick towards Denis either, it's just that lately he seems a little immature, to put it politely.

Yeah I really dont get what the point of getting arrested is. Hell what's the goddam point of standing in front of the cop car, we know it is taking off inevitability. I do believe that noone is harmed in this case, but if in a free society people were doing heroin and shooting up in public, and disturbing people, is that really appropriate? I am a voluntaryist, sometimes some activities are just not fit. I believe even in a free society there are some standards. Also don't act like the communists, thinking that everything will be just perfect in your society. This same crap can happen in a free market society

There is no public property in a free society.  The property owner would decide what's appropriate, and other parties would have no more complaint than to advise the property owner that they will not patronize the enterprise.

Myself and other activists are busier now actually getting shit done than you could be expected to know. There's a primary coming up, and whether freak-staters choose to believe it or not, the result of that primary has HUGE impacts on all liberties in NH for the next 2 solid years.

crying about others instead of examining how what they are, or are not doing, is helping, or not helping, the progress of liberty.
I ain't crying. I am brave enough and responsible enough to tell people who I agree with ideologically, that they are doing stupid, stupid shit that is not only not helping, it is fucking shit up. Yes, I'll say it, "poisoning the well".

And no, I don't care about winning the hearts and minds of people in the "FreeKeene movement", so I don't mind alienating them. Gotta break a few eggs. Oh well. Somebody's gotta tell it like it is to the childrens.

"No Gandhi, we must work within the system, trust me, the British will change."
Funny you mention Ghandi, but I can't get into that right now.
Suffice to say that the majority of the Indian people were pissed off at the Brits.
Ghandi and his followers were very careful about their nonviolent disobedience.
I somehow don't see the "drinking game" as being something Ghandi would have done. I could be wrong. But it's pretty fucking hilarious to see people partying in the park deluding themselves into thinking that (a) people in Keene secretly idolize them, and (b) they are heroic like Ghandi & Thoreau.

lol hahahhahhaaaa!!!! Loozers!

One more time, for the slow-witted among you:
It ain't about CD vs politics.
It's about acting like irresponsible assholes.
The message that the FK activists portray, intentionally or not is, "LOOK AT ME!" followed shortly thereafter by "KISS MY ASS!"

Talk about a hill not to die on, and they do this every night?
hhahahahha!!!
"How dare you question the activism of the brave Drinking Gamers!?! Come here and show us how it's done!"
lol

My guess is most people in Keene now see them as a bunch of alcoholic wankers
DING!
We have a winna!

It's almost like certain people are chasing a chance at fame instead of actual liberty.
oooohh... noticed that, did you?
Guess what: most of NH had that one figured out some time ago ;)

Denis,

Please try to understand that this is all a part of Ian's business model.

You don't become the #84 most popular talk show in the nation by putting your audience to sleep with parliamentary procedure 'n stuff.

You do your thing.  Ian does his thing.  The suits gravitate one way.  The nuts go elsewhere.  The gears turn.  The bills get paid.  Everybody wins.

So should his goal be to gain national fame by being an obnoxious attention whore?

What do the people outside of New Hampshire have to do with anything?  Its the residents of New Hampshire we're trying to influence.  Ask the New Hampshire residents in the state house who Denis Goddard is and I'm sure you'd get a much different answer.
