I was listening to a podcast on another tab at normal podcast listening volume. I paused it and hit play on this video. The video started off with muffled voices in the background so I cranked up the volume and then BERRRIES AND CHERRRIES OMG! I almost had a fucking heart attack.

I'm mostly upset at myself that one of the greatest minds of our era had to do the dirty job of standing in front of pigmobiles abducting innocent people, and not someone more expendable like me.  I don't put myself in these situations because I have way too much bottled up anger - I could go over the top...  And also I am a coward.

Yeah...selective enforcement at its best, so far as I can tell.  I'm not sure why this was the "right hill" for Ian to "die on" either, but it's his choice.
