Video cameras
« on: July 24, 2008, 10:20:04 AM »

Is buying a good video camera worth the money if you are not a film producer? If I were to buy one, it would probably be used as an emergency "oh-shit-the-cops-just-pulled-me-over-for-speeding" camera. That said, if a camera is a tool that everyone should have, is it worth it to buy a super-dooper-high-quality-kick-ass HD camera or rather a cheap video camera?

I'd stick with SD if you're just using it for "emergencies".

Transferring the video out is a lot easier, too.

I'd get a used late model Sony Digital 8 off eBay, they fucking cheap and reliable.
