Normally, I don't.  And nothing on margin. 

Half of my irritation is this 'game', I'm not able to day trade on the BBS at work.  So I come back and I'm down 30k. 

Honestly, if I was holding a hundred grand, I'd have another hundred on margin.  a 1% rebound and I'd be done for the day, five minutes work.

Well, I didn't take time out from my real life trading to do any contest trading today, so I missed out on a chance to boost my acct. here. I'm not complaining though. I made almost 2% today by selling by DIA dow index etf at $80.67 which was purchased back on 3/23 for $76.45. About the same time today, I bought FAZ in chunks until my average price was $17.40. Sold at $17.80. I missed out on the high for FAZ of $18.27, but I'm happy with this.  At this rate, my brokerage account should be back to it's pre-crash high by the end of the month.

They work good, but stay out of the financials.  The banks are too insider.  I started on FAS and FAZ, and they're completely illogical.  I'm holding some FAS right now and I'll do okay with it, but if you hold 'em long, they decay. 

Leveraged decay is horrific when you go long.  I suggest you look into it. 

I waited all day for it to pop, and it never did.  Everyone bought yesterday..  The old addage of "buy on rumor and sell on news" is truer than ever with FAS/FAZ.  I like its volatility, but watching it all day is draining when you want that bang. 

By the way, they follow the RIFIN index, not the S+P.

If you want a good 3x for right now, try the Emerging Market Bull fund for a few days - in real life.  Theres some long upside to it, its probably my next play, matched with the Large Cap Bear on the down days.

So I got 54% return in one day (would have been 25% without "cheating").  Am I gonna sell CYOU?  Nah, not yet.  But I got my stockbroker in Mumbai looking to buy in early (i.e. below opening price) on the next great IPO.
