nasquam and I have embarked on a stock contest but anyone is free to join.

rules
Stocks, ETF, and options are allowed but not mutual funds
Stocks and ETF commissions buy & sell are $7. At the end of the contest, any unsold positions will be considered liquidated and incur a commission.
Option commissions $14 to open, $7 to close (I forget what I said for this earlier - if this is a problem, I will change it to something we can agree on)
Cash received no interest (changed this to make maintenance easier)
Starting balance $100k
Limit 10 open positions at any given time - options tied to an underlying stock or etf do not count toward this limit.
No limit on number of trades, but if someone gets ridiculous with this, I will warn then remove the offender.
Challenge will end at the EOD, 6 months from the beginning... will check the exact date I promised and post.
To enter a trade, do a google finance quote then immediately post the key info here. I will compile updates regularly, mostly daily, but not always.
I was going to use a google documents spreadsheet, but have decided to use excel to make it easier on me. I'll just have to paste consolidated info periodically instead of letting people view it directly.
I will try a couple of copy and pastes from google finance and report the results so you know the easiest way to post. Options will be different. There is a link to the options section near the bottom right portion of the stock or etf quote.
