Having a degree doesn't guarantee you anything.

This absolutely is true and I'd add "nor should it". Most egg heads coming out of school have at least four years catching up to do in the work place. The idea that any old college degree is worth something is a myth.

For instance, the dude with a Masters in International Relations? Yeah, that'll get him hired. If I was the guy interviewing him it would be all I could do to keep from laughing while I sorted through all the applicants and hired the guy straight out of high school. Any idiot that thought a Masters in International Relations is a good thing deserves to be rejected until he learns that listing that on a resume is not a plus. I think this is going to go into the short list of questions I ask people in interviews.

1. Who is the Vice President?
2. How many states are there in the United States?

3. Do you have a masters in International Relations?

Get a fuckin job asshole.  Even I have one and I don't even have a degree yet.

Not everyone has the benefit of the secret Jew job network.

I have a job because I'm not an unemployed asshole and I care about paying rent and staying off welfare.  It's not that hard to get an entry level job that pays enough to make rent and allow a person to afford a few nice things.  Even here in CA with 13% unemployment.  There are jobs out here still, you just can't be a whiner if you want to get one.

Stable employment is for losers still stuck in the 20th century.  Your time is most valuable when you provide certain services you are specifically great at to a number of clients via an open market online project bidding system.

Not everyone who is unemployed right now is an asshole who doesn't want to pay rent, is lazy, etc.  There are a lot of shitty employers (I'll admit to it), that likely would not hire someone who was extremely overqualified for my available position.

And if you think that even a moderate portion of those unemployed presently have that mentality, you're an idiot.  Sorry, but let's face it.  You're the asshole if that's how you look at other people.

Nine-to-five is for commies!

It always amazes me how much or how little you can make as a freelancer.  I've made five figures in a single week, and I've had weeks when I wasted time bidding on small projects trying to build up my reputation with a new broker and make connections for literally pennies an hour!

That reflects the actual market-based value of one's work - you try to place yourself in an ideal possible position for people who happen to be in need of certain skills that you may offer.  If someone in India or Africa can do your job a tinny bit better or cheaper, then they deserve to take it instead.

Why hasn't someone figured out a better alternative to this routine yet? It's been a long time since I sat in rush hour traffic.. can't understand why anyone does.

Dunno about all that.. I'm being undercut by people in my own town. They're cheaper, some may be better. My choices are to find other clients willing to pay what I charge, do the same quality work for less (both of which I'm doing) - or do cheaper quality work for the same or less. If I choose the latter, it doesn't go well with having good material for the portfolio- then business sinks.

I guess I also have the choice of moving my family into a shanty, possibly share it with a few other families, and earn enough to feed us all rice- all in order to undercut the prices of those pesky neighbors crowding in on my turf.

Well, what's the alternative?

Working is a scam. The entire economy is based on the exploitation of workers. Communism is prolly even worse when it comes to exploiting workers.

Everybody should go on welfare.

Working is bullshit. Most of the time, you cannot even afford to buy something nice, or spend some quality time to work on projects that one is actually interested in. What a waste of life.

Working is against the basic principals of existence.

To make it worse, you have a bunch of power-tripping employers and human resource workers to deal with -- Rape them in the ass.

The slave has to rape the master in the ass.

So-called "voluntary working contracts" are mostly bullshit.

Rape the master in the ass.
