Travel to Paris and Barcelona
« on: July 07, 2009, 02:41:16 PM »

What's up guys and gals!

I've been lurking in the EB thread but I haven't posted here is a while. A lot has been going on lately. Anyway, I'm going to be taking a trip to Paris and Barcelona in about 2 weeks and I was wondering if you all had any suggested places to visit. The wife and I got a travel book but it is funner to read your comments.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks anyway.

There are too many daves in this world!

Today I had a Mexican friend of mine tell me I should go to Mexico rather than Spain because the world is too Euro-centric. It was by far the stupidest thing I have heard all week.

I wouldn't know since i never visited any euro areas but mexico was fun. The only real trip I took abroad was japan. Tokyo is kinda flashy and fun but the rural areas are really beautiful and relaxed.

<<<<Would love to go to Japan!

I've been to Mexico at least a dozen times to visit family and vacation spots. The culture and food are too similar to what I grew up with to be exciting, but the beaches are nice.

Yea you would love japan. I got alot of attention and "special" treatment when I studied there in high school. I think it might have only been because my host parents were in a rural area and there isn't much going on there. I loved the beaches in mexico but don't really have a reason to visit again. I would rather mix it up and see something new.

Never been to Europe, but if I had the opportunity to go to either of those cities, I would be on the look out for some killer grafitti and street art.

Barcelona street art:

Parisian Street Art:
