Looked up recipe. I will be making this. Soon.

It's beef jerky, AND it's soup!

Yum.

Beef jerky? Huh. The version I found called for roasted beef, chopped.

------
    *  1 Cup Bread Crumbs
    * 1 Cup Milk
    * 1 Small Pumpkin Or Squash -- cubed
    * 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
    * 2 Teaspoons Spanish Paprika
    * 4 Medium Onions -- sliced
    * 1/2 Pound Beef -- roasted & CHOPPED
    * 1 Teaspoon Oregano
    * Salt And Pepper -- to taste
    * 1 Teaspoon Cumin
    * 4 Cups Beef Stock
    * 8 Large Hard-Boiled Eggs -- peeled
    * 2 Large Seville Oranges
    * 1 Tablespoon Fresh Parsley -- chopped

Directions    Preheat oven to 450*. Soak bread in milk 5 minutes. Roast pumpkin in oven 20 minutes. Saute onion and paprika in oil until tender. Add beef, oregano, pepper, salt and cumin. Saute 1 minute. Transfer to stock pot. Add stock simmer 20 minutes. Puree pumpkin, bread and milk, add to soup. Add orange juice, bring to boil. Submerge peeled hard-boiled eggs in soup.

Beef jerky? Huh. The version I found called for roasted beef, chopped.

There's different variations.

I've got three or four versions of it that require jerky, and a couple that use brined meat as well.

The beef jerky type is what I'm making, and a personal fave.

Bunch of poached eggs on top.

My favorite version:

    * 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
    * 4 Large Onion -- Chopped
    * 2 Tablespoons Paprika
    * 1 Small Winter Squash -- Chopped
    * 1/2 Pound Beef Jerky -- Chopped
    * 1 Teaspoon Cumin
    * 1 Teaspoon Oregano
    * 6 Cups Beef Broth
    * Salt And Pepper -- To Taste
    * 8 Medium Eggs
    * 2 Tablespoons Parsley -- Chopped
    * 1 Lemon Lemon Juice
    * 1 Orange Orange Juice

Saute onion, squash and paprika in oil for 10 minutes. Add jerky, cumin, oregano and broth. Simmer for 25 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Poach eggs in water for 5 minutes. Stir in lemon juice and orange juice to the soup. Simmer for 1 minutes. Place an egg in a soup bowl, top with soup and sprinkle with parsley. Serve.

They have the best damn chicken burritos. And I like the cilantro in the rice.  :)

Something quick and easy.  Probably tomato soup.  I can't seem to get rid of the same headache I've had since Saturday and I've already as good as OD'd on Excedrin, Advil, AND Tylenol all at once.

Miso Baked Tofu & Veggie Fried Rice.

Have another 30 mins or so before the liquid from the miso sauce finishes cooking off, and the tofu takes on an actual chewy texture.

I broke my nose a while back while sparring and vicodin made me itch like no other. I had to stop taking it. Just thinking about it makes my skin crawl. \

Recipe or it didn't happen. :)
I do this often, with different sauces. Here's the one I made tonight:

Slice Tofu. Press between cloth or paper towels to remove as much water as possible.

In saucepan, mix 2-3 tablespoons of miso paste with:
1/2 Rice or White Wine
1/3-1/2 Brown Sugar
1 tablespoon Ginger, freshly grated
2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
2 tablespoons Rice Wine Vinegar
Red Pepper Flakes, to taste.

Stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Add 2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Pour half of sauce into square baking dish.
Place tofu slices in baking dish, pour remaining sauce over slices.
Bake in 375 deg oven, turning every 20-30 minutes, until all of the sauce has either been absorbed, or evaporated.
