Two Boca Burgers on english muffin and some grapes. Not so much for any kind of health thing, it was just fast and easy.

This is venison loin, potato, and onion, with various hot spices, butter, and a special home made venison BBQ sauce I made, roasted in a frying pan for an hour on low heat. I am eating it as I type.

That's one big, healthy plate of food! I just came.

We had Brinner tonight. Orange juice and...
Waffles, applewood smoked uncured bacon, (kids & Mr. Joy), Cheese omelet (kids)
Spinach/pepper/onion/garlic omelet (grownups), Sliced strawberries and oranges, too. Some people do the syrup and butter, one whipped cream & fruit, one yogurt & fruit, and one Nutella.

Huh. With it typed out like that, I sound a bit like a short order cook.

Are you a veggie?

Bacon, cheese, eggs, and butter = vegetarian?

She didn't eat the bacon or the cheese.

I didn't ask if she's a oco-larvo (wat-thefuckever) vegan, I asked if she's veggie.

She could be veggie and eat eggs and butter.  Some are loose like that, and just observe the basics and avoid meat.  Maybe its soy-eggs or some freaky shit she didn't mention.

She cooks meat often, and I've seen her remark about enjoying it, but she also does a lot of veggies and I've seen her mention tofu more than once.  My guess, after reading her comments for many chapters, is she is a quasi-veggie.  I think she makes an effort to eat healthy in a vegetarian manner, with a casual allowance of meat just because she likes it, and isn't morally opposed to meat products.  I think you could consider yourself "mostly veggie" if you want.  I'm curious how she would classify herself.

I'm an omnivore? I would probably be comfortable being vegetarian, as long as it wasn't vegan. I like my butter, cheese and eggs.  I'm prone to anemia though, and don't do well on the iron supplements. Meat is the easy way - keeping the iron levels high enough through black beans, greens, etc., requires more planning than I have time and brainpower for, seeing as how I'm also keeping up with my [part-time] career, three children, spouse, all the activities they have going, plus the running/cycling thing.

We do have several meatless meals each week, which I think is important. There are also suppers where I don't eat the meat dish, and have extra salad and side dishes. I eat less meat/poultry/fish than the rest of the family, but it's just my preference, not a big deal. I don't want my kids to have the idea stuck in their heads that a meal is not a meal without meat, potatoes and bread. I'm not saying meat & potatoes is a bad thing, just that there's a whole world out there.

I think if I keep eating chicken for at least one meal a day, sometimes two - if I have two meals a day, I'm probably going to turn in to a yardbird.

I figured with the inclusion of "larvo", it meant he was asking if I eat veggies & bugs.

No, you're thinking of ovo-lacto.  Vegetarians of the octo-larvo variety will only eat calamari, bugs and veggies.

what???
octopus don't have feelings ?....or faces?
what about the poor bugs?
they have families....
hopes....
dreams....

Calamari = squid

I doubt they have feelings, but I think octopi do.  ;-)

I made hamburgers for the kids and had an experience similar to Eddie Murphy's:

Don't know yet.  Had takeout from Outback last night and I have some leftovers, since I can't eat much (appetite suppressant).  I'll be heating up the cheese fries in the oven in just a bit, but I'm sure there will be some yardbird involved later.   :D

Ginger scallion meatballs and a stir fried veggie & noodle thing.

I'm going to skip the meatballs and toss some spinach into my noodles before serving. Not recovered from the general "ick" feeling from my lunch from burger king. Everyone else is fine, so I'm going to have to assume my general distaste for fast food is becoming more pronounced. Next time people want junkfood, I'm lobbying for Jason's Deli.
