The Tax Resister Diet
« on: December 01, 2009, 09:23:39 PM »

I've gone "vegan" before, but this time I'm serious.  Two months into it I'm feeling pretty good, but what I'm doing is more than just a "vegan" diet, and since most "vegans" are complete brain-dead idiots I'd like to distance myself from them as much as possible.  In case I ever decide to write a diet book and need a catchy name, I shall call it...  The Tax Resister Diet!

Here are the dietary rules that I follow:

  • No animal products - the rationale for that is that the meat and dairy industries receive huge amounts of government subsidies, and for every $1 you spend at the grocery store the tax-victims might be spending as much as $40!  Those subsidies also include the government's environmental regulation monopoly (which leads to tremendous property damage that the free market would never allow), the quality assurance monopoly (which leads to consumers being fooled into buying some really nasty stuff), and the education monopoly (which hides or downplays the scientific studies that animal products are bad for you).  Animal ownership is also becoming increasingly regulated (ex. Brian Travis), and is thus best avoided while gulching.  It is possible to feed 5-10 times more people on the same area of land if they just reduce their meat consumption to bare minimum!  A small piece of meat won't kill you, but I find that cutting it out of your diet completely is easier, because after a while the cravings go away.

  • No poisons - especially recreational drugs, alcohol, and tobacco, which raise your long-term medical costs, waste nutritional resources, reduce your productive capacity, and reduce your ability to handle lethal weapons to fight government agents.  Unnecessary medication should also be avoided, especially when the illness can also be managed through proper nutrition, as very often is the case.

  • No imported food - avoid foods that don't grow very well in Coös County, the northernmost part of New Hampshire.  The whole idea of this diet is gulchers being able to grow their own food and trade it in the underground economy without ever paying a penny in sales taxes, while also avoiding the fuel tax and a zillion other taxes.  It is possible to grow anything in a heated greenhouse, obviously, but that space would be best used for nutritional superfoods like year-round fresh spinach and avocados.  Think wheat instead of rice, other legumes instead of soy, carrots instead of bananas, lemons instead of oranges, honey (which I think is OK for vegans) or maple sugar instead of cane sugar, and so on.

  • No packaged / manufactured foods - if you grew your own wheat, would you go through the expense of making Wheaties cereal, complete with all the artificial flavours and preservatives, or would you make healthy whole-grain fresh-baked bread, old country bulgur porridge, and so on?  I think the last thing that I bought that had a label on it was salt, pepper, and other spices - everything else I either buy fresh (fruits, vegetables, mushrooms) or in bulk (root vegetables, legumes, nuts, etc).

  • No beverages other than water - as nature intended, because that's the only thing our ancestors drank for millions of years up until just a couple thousand years ago.  There are tons of tariffs on tea, coffee, soda, etc - which are also very acidic.  Juicing only wastes nutrients, even if you consume the pulp as well, because the proper digestion process begins with chewing and the enzymes in your saliva.  You get the best nutrition (including antioxidants) by eating solid plant foods and drinking plain water instead.  (Reverse-osmosis filtered or at least boiled.)

  • Nutritional literacy - even a diet consisting of unprocessed plant-based foods can be unhealthy if you eat too much "carb junk" and not enough foods with more valuable nutrients.  I use WolframAlpha to find detailed portion-adjusted nutritional information on various foods.  The most important nutrient to pay attention to is protein: at least 15% of your calories should come from protein (or 25% if you're trying to gain muscle-weight), which means including more high-protein foods like legumes, mushrooms, greens, and asparagus, while reducing low-protein foods like apples, potatoes, and maple sugar.  It is also important to combine different sources of protein within a single day (ex. legumes + grains).  Another important nutrient to watch is calcium, which is yet another reason to consume more protein-rich foods like collard greens, turnip greens, kale, okra, broccoli, and spinach.  Finally, choose foods that are lower in the Glycemic index and have an alkalinizing effect on your blood whenever possible.

  • Vitamin supplements - the diet described above is extremely healthy, but there are a few micro-nutrients that may be difficult to obtain from a vegan diet on a consistent basis, most notably Vitamin D (which is particularly scarce in northern climates) and Vitamin B12.

What's your stance on dumpster diving for food?

I used to do it when there was a supermarket that did this within a couple miles of me and I was with two partners. Tasty food aplenty!

I sometimes say "there's no such thing as a stupid question", so, well...  here's the answer...

My "stance on dumpster diving for food"  ...  :|  ... is very negative for a whole list of very obvious reasons: both short-term and long-term health risks, possible violations of property rights, economic unsustainability, and giving people a very negative image of what Free Staters are all about.

The point of this diet is to improve one's health while pursuing economic secession from the government, not parasitic impoverishment!

Theres a couple of locally-known organic beef and poultry ranchers who produce some nice cuts, and I don't think they strive to keep a real accurate official headcount of their livestock, for obvious reasons.  I have no issues with supporting them.  I like meat.  I wish I could get their stuff more often.

Abbie Hoffmann was a drugtarded commie retard.  :x

... but bringing him up made me realize yet another advantage of this diet - if it is well known that you are careful about what you put in your body, it would be more difficult for Them to "suicide" you via an overdose.

Yeah Abbie Hoffman was a thief. Steal This Book? Ruining peoples lives.

I work at a restaurant, and if we tossed it into the dumpster, you dont want it.  Why would you eat out of something that spoiled meat and fish regularly go into? The bacteria must be horrible.

I have never thrown anything that was in a "sealed container" into the dumpster.

Also, fish.  Fish is good.  I like fish.

First person to say anything about mercury gets autobann'd.  Heavy Metal Toxic Fish would be a stupid name for a band, let alone a sound theory.  People would have to eat fish morning, noon and night for any considerable levels to accumulate, and they'd have to be high up the fish-chain.  Omega-3 is important.  It improves brain function, and keeps the frowny-faces away.

People in New England reap great income from the harvest of fish, and often do so privately, without subsidy.  They are known to be stalwart tax resistors, plying their wares for cash at the docks, telling Uncle Sam to kiss their salty asses, pumping lewdly from the hips in mock fornication.  They actually do this, and it is to be greatly admired.
