So, it seems this forum's dead... Shame... It used to be the only home I've had...
Ian killed it... Of course it was his forum to kill, but, as I've so rigorously expressed earlier, it (not just Ian's actions but the fact that no one else understood their significance) ended all possibility of trust...
I swear, by every cell in my body and every chemical reaction that ever occurred inside my skull, that I would have been in New Hampshire, with bells on, many years ago... if not for all the anti-intellectual bullshit and all the crucifixions I've suffered on this forum (forget all others)...
And so I remain, alone... and alone I will perish...

Of course you've "won" - as always, buying power with stolen loot. People vote for free stuff - that has always been understood. The mob will even vote that 2 + 2 == 5 if that profits them, but Natural Laws will remain unswayed. Democracies always go through this as they collapse. My side, free market capitalism, will win in the end - win not in some demagogue popularity contest, but in objective evolutionary terms.
The 21st century will be most interesting. Technology will change everything, and make your governments not only obsolete but impossible to maintain. All the archaic frameworks of Nation-States, which you take for granted, will weaken, fragment, and collapse. Intergovernmental competition will force the fragments to follow free market economic laws, or collapse even faster. I optimistically believe that attempts to create a universal World Government, which is my biggest concern, will collapse also.
You will observe more and more people like myself - simply ignoring your laws, like they ignore the Fatwas of some Ayatollah. People like myself will never be in majority, but even 0.1% should be sufficient. I am philosophically principled, incorruptible, uncontrollable, untaxable, very competent with 21st century tech, perfectly happy in my studies whether I'm "homesteading government land" in a tent or in a prison cell, and killing me would only bring more attention to my ideas.
And so, I will buy and sell services in exchange for Bitcoins, even at rates below the "legal" "minimum wage" if I so choose. You can have my dead body, but not my obedience!

My position has weakened considerably in the last 3-4 years, with me being betrayed by other libertarians and losing confidence in the Free State Project. As a former programmer, I have the IT competence to make myself completely self-reliant in the expression, dissemination, and proliferation of my ideas, but for these years I have been completely crippled with depression and self-doubt.
But guess what? I am still alive, and this adversity has only made me stronger!
