Ooooh, oooh, ooh, sounds like a great idea -- but we need a photogenic anchor like Candy Crowley.

Or you, come on you're gay so that means you gotta look sorta like Jack Harkness, right?

Unless, of course, the Libertarian News would be filmed in "action news" style with all male anchors sporting power mustaches from the 1970's...

Goatees, lumberjack shirts, and news anchor aliases like "Brett Bummer" and I'm SO applying for a position there.

I can see it now... "ACTION NEWS... STARING BRETT BUMMER AND RANDY MACINTYRE..."

Fair and balanced -- you're watching the Libertine Libertarian Network -- LLN!

 You know, I think it would be ironic if a Libertarian news network used the "fair and balanced" line, considering that they'd mean it, unlike FOX News...

I doubt it genuinely be 'fair and balanced,' in fact I think we'd be rather biased. We'd be right, but still biased.

Now that you mention it, that's a good way of putting it. We all have our biases; it's how we deal with them in our daily interactions that's the important factor...

I say just call it The News. Take out any actual anchor being on screen and use voice masking so anyone can be the anchor for that day. Then, use as much neutral language as possible as to let the facts fall where they may. And avoid the use of flashy, noisy splash screens and what not. Just get to the basics, sorta like Bloomberg, but without the interviews.

Actually, I think the 'anchor' ought to be a CGI version of The Question/Mr. A only because I'm a freak and I want to make a symbol of freedom, justice, and truth that would piss off the anti-rationalistic assholes on Earth.

And, hell, Friday could be "Fun Friday", where viewers could use humorous impersonations to read the news... Imagine if "Christopher Walkin" doing a special on astronomy, for example... Priceless...

Thanks! I think that the channel could be 100% determined by the viewers, which would result in a longer lifespan for the network due to the sheer amount of things that could be covered... Nothing would be taboo... No censorship... Mostly informative, but mainly full of Tomfoolery...

I'd love a series of "self-debates" where one chose a statist politician and used various video clips to have him debate himself on various issues of import.  'Twould be genius.

One question; would this be live (which is often rare) or would this be live to tape, where it's recorded as if it's live, but then edited for time?
