Are low carb diets mostly about weight loss?

I think many start out that way only to be pleasantly surprised by an array of almost immediate health benefits. That's what happened for me. The benefits were rather dramatic. Getting off the blood-sugar roller coaster is quite a relief and the benefits of avoiding gluten were considerable for me.

I'm going to try deep frying avocado slices tonight.

I love you, Joe.

Give me details. Not just about finished product taste - need to know about any coating, temps, seasoning...

Just plain slices, supposedly. They're supposed to come out slightly crispy and melted buttery in the interior. I'm gonna try canola oil at 375. Sprinkle it with fine plain popcorn salt after they're done and some garlic powder. Maybe some Indian red chili powder too.

I'd expect them to get bitter.

Why?

Because cooked avocado gets bitter?

If you start with not quite ripe avocado, I think it would be okay.
I've put thick slices of green mango and avocado on the grill and had it turn out fabulously for a spicy black bean & roasted corn salad.

You might be on to something.
Have you seen those new WD-40 spray bottles? Why don't they use a similar idea on the new PAMtm asslube?
Use the straw for the more precise aiming and the open nozzle for slicking up the general area.

You work on the prototype, I'll help finance the project 50/50.

This might just be a major breakthrough.
