Alright, so, the current birth rate, est, for 2007 (according to the CIA's world fact book :P) is about 14.16 births per 1000 population (which I believe is on a downard trend for the last decade, if I recall correctly)
The population currently is 301,139,947 (according to the same source). So, in essence thats 4,264,142 births a year, right?
So, if we divide that by 365 days in the year, we come out to about 11682 births a day.
Now, lets assume that 100% of people will be indoctrinated by the public school system as to the benevolence of big government.
In essence, atleast 5841 people a day need to be convinced of the value of liberty for us to "stay head of the curve". We're gonna need some exponential growth, me thinks.
(LOL okay, I know its not that simple, but I thought it was interesting to look at it that way)

No, those people don't need to be convinced. That's why you'll never see libertarianism on a large scale (much like communism, just a difference of degree). In order for libertarianism to work, in this day and age, it needs to be attempted on a much smaller scale (such as the FSP). Am I endorsing the FSP? Hell no. I'm just being realistic.

I'm just being realistic.
I really wasn't. I do agree with you though.
