That makes 19%, or one in five people.

Now I think I know why you really moved to the countryside, heh.

Don't worry though, it'll be coming to your town soon enough.

I'd think Michigan would be a better place to go.

Michigan (The state) is projecting a 7% increase in unemployment by the end of 2009.

The current rate is 12%.

That makes 19%, or one in five people.

Sure, come get some.

This is wrong. A 7% increase would be an increase of 7% of the present rate of unemployment, so 7% of 12% of the population.

If the FSP didn't reach it's projected goal of 20,000 members by 2006, it was supposed to be disbanded.

Not only did they not disband, (Fine, whatever, have a redo.) they never removed all of the people who agreed to their original date of project completion from the roster of participants.

The contract ended (Yes, it was a contract originally) and they kept the participant number and just kept chugging along. They also refuse to remove people from their membership, and hassle them if asked to.

I am one of these people.

Ok personally i think the whole contract thing was unrealistic in terms of goals to begin with. No point in hassling people though. I would rather keep accruing as many people as possible in one spot to make a difference over time. Even if nothing significant happened in my life time i would want to work towards a better place for my kid or there kids. I dont think they should disband I think they should just keep growing and working on changing things. Obviously being scattered doesnt work and I have no other idea on what else I could possibly do to make a difference

I totally agree. I'm not even bothered that most FSPers are not Voluntaryists, since anarchy is not an option yet, and a smaller government is part of the path on the way towards it.

Mark bows down to the ruling party.  I don't know of anyone more fucking condescending.  The Patron Saint of patronizing.

What?

I wish I could move to NH!

The status quo of abuses of gooberment is all around. However I personally have 2 children and the judge has awarded custody to their mother.. and I can't move without them. Being close to them is more important to me than anything else.

However, if I had no children.. I would rather be in NH.

If I want to contest any abuse of power.. I would much rather do it in NH with support of activitsts than anywhere else in the world.

If I'm wrong, put your case forward..

You can be jailed in all 50 states, Canada, and Mexico.

Once you are in the jail, everyone is a free stater.

Nope. That would be an increase per capita of less than 1%. 277,000 out of 3.954,000 is not less than 1%.
