Free market is real science - based on pure reason, empiricism, and free competition of ideas.

Left-wing "science" is a religion - based on violence, bias, mental gymnastics, and a long history of fraud.

A libertarian can read a parody of libertarians and think its funny. They forgot 25 though, someone who doesn't care about 1-24 as long as they don't hurt or aggress against anyone. Taking away the inconsistent quotes I am at least 3, 5, 14, 16, 20, 23.

I laughed as I went through a few of them.

Well, "The Island" is the old strawman that if you participate in society which at the moment includes government, it's hypocritical to want government's role reduced. I hate that one.

No, let's declare Jihad and show them Muslims how it's done!  ;)

5 isn't really a parody of anything though...

Yeah, and neither is "Briefly Tempting."  Funny how those are the most accurate portrayals of most self-proclaimed libertarians I know.

Me too. It shows that the person making that statement has a complete lack of understanding of the Libertarian stance on basically anything.

Dale or someone should do a "You Might be a Non-Libertarian If..." type response.  Ex:

  • ... you believe that all off the evidence you need to base your world-view must come from a violent monopoly that profits from your ignorant obedience, and everyone who deviates from the dictated norm is insane.

  • ... you believe that only a secretive and violent monopoly has the divine grace to "test for botulism", while an openly competing network of evidence-based quality assurance certifications is automatically doomed to failure.

  • ... you believe that no one can be trusted to decide what they do with their own lives, but everyone can be trusted to vote between a handful of indistinguishably vague and unbinding campaign promises by the power-hungry individuals to rule over everybody else.

Etc, etc, etc...

http://www.leftycartoons.com/the-24-types-of-libertarian/Well just in case the cartoon is moved again there is a link.

Possibly someone could give me the 24 types of Conservatives and/or Liberals to round out the topic and I will draw an appropriately silly cartoon to match this drivel.

I think it's just great that the arrogant left* has discovered libertarianism as the enemy.  It means they know what they aren't and it means we're closer to winning.

It's also worth noting, I suppose, that there's a lot of confusion between objectivist (not leftist) and libertarian (the other not leftist.)  The author unsurprisingly collectivizes everyone who is "not us" (and, in this particular context, not mainstream Republican, either.)

*FWIW, the right have always been aware of us, and they've been so afraid of us, that they've always agreed with the left that we're "far right."
