The European population peaked in 2000, and the next generation does not have the means to support them as their median age goes up. Looking at the stastics and the obvious gap in earnings to expenses projected, I am surpised that the new crop of European youth is not leaning towards Libertarianism. or Convervativism. Its strange that despite the few youths going topless at the beaches, and being socially less open then their parents that this hasnt coupled with resentment over their heavily taxed future.
Why havent they made the switch yet? Or if I missed it, what were the signs that it started?

Don't understimate one generation's eagerness to fuck up the next generation's economy. A few European governments have tried taking steps rectifying this situation by cutting down on future pensions and other welfare expenditures, but they have been unable due to the rage of their greedy populations. Actually, here in Norway, the current socialist coalition government tried to cut back on pension benefits promised to the members of the biggest union, but they backed down within a couple of weeks after threats of strike. And of course, it also helped that the union is the biggest contributor to the biggest party in the coalition......

Here we have the AARP, which stands for Old Bastards Who Are Going to Get What They Can Because They Believe They Are Entitled to It. They don't give a rats ass what they do to future generations because they will be dead and not have to listen to the blame.

The kids are outnumbered, but they arent loud and angry. Thats bizarre. If I were told to support other peoples parents because they screwed up their finances, and legally there was nothing I could do about it, I would at least get angry. Maybe even take to the streets in protest.

Europe is trying to solve the problem by importing young Muslims from the Middle East as quickly as they can be brought in.

I hope thats a joke and not some brown scare hysteria.
If anyone is propping up european economies, its by far eastern europeans, especially polish (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Kingdom#Immigration).

No what happens is young people say screw this and slow down working. Possibly leading to starvation for elderly populations as there is less money to steal from the young and healthy. The same thing that happened on a small scale in New England with the pilgrims.
Actually it is former Soviet countries in Europe who have freer economic environments with the possible exception of Ireland. Most notably Estonia, Poland, and the Czech Republic. Estonia for example has adopted a flat tax system and while they have taken a few miss-steps like joining the EU it is still considered the Baltic Tiger. These countries have already lived through socialist systems and rejected most of those ideas in favor of a more business friendly environment. This is reflected in that Estonia has the third highest birthrate in the EU just behind Ireland and the UK. Ireland had the highest birthrate.

Why would the kids, who are promised sweet, sweet, welfare benefits by the state, take to the streets?

As a whole the population of Europe peaked in 2000. If it wasnt for emigration from other European nations like Latvia, everyone would be up the creek.

This.
Those of the younger crowd are just that, younger. They tend not to think in terms of decades and still have the false sense of being invincible. It is only after years of toiling away do some get a vague sense of something amiss. By then it is to late as they are nearing the time and age to reverse their role. It really is a self perpetuating problem. Poetic and sort of beautiful in a way.
