When I see stuff like this, however, I can't help but think that it can't be as ugly as being imprisoned without the ability to end it. Five years might be tolerable, but if you threatened to lock me up for much longer than that I might want to blow my head off too. But I think it should be up to each person to decide which they want to go with.
I just think that if people have any rights at all, they should have a fundamental right to end their lives whenever they choose. To deny a person that right is pretty much the definition of torture.
Body Sovereignty is something that the Mobocracy Looter Minions fear more than anything else, with respect to their gravy-train-generating slaves, and therefore they cannot permit it.
They tie this desire up with the wrapping paper, ribbons, and bows of religion and how the supreme gasoline god wants you to kill others for more oil, but demands that you not control both what is inside your body and how long your body lives. They need the peasant slave minions to maintain their global resource procurement program through subterfuge, oppression, murder, and genocide.

Rob, "they" don't do anything with religion. Religion is a voluntary institution in this country, and anyone who advocates its forced end is taking a page from the playbook of the communist manifesto.
Rillion, I was just thinking about this earlier this morning as to a justification of suicide. Basically, everyone owns their own body, and as such should be able to take their own life when they choose.
The usual counterargument to this I hear is that people are said to not own themselves because G-d owns their souls. While I agree with this on a religious level, I find it distasteful to impose religious belief, even by proxy onto people who might be atheists.
