Every once in a while, the non state socialists take a break from stealing and vandalizing to come up with some very useful information. They are a quality, not quantity bunch... Anyway, I was just browsing around keeping tabs on them, as I do about once per year, and I found this: http://www.crimethinc.com/a/direct_action/direct_action.pdf. It is a 3 page PDF with some good points about successful activism. Their social/econ views may be off, but at least they have some good civdis ideas.
