Especially here in Florida. If you notice the ceiling in those pictures, or even if you don't - it's all glass. People always make jokes at me about getting a tan. Fortunately, the skylight at least has a UV screen built in. It's still hot as balls though.

Exactly. The woman across the street from me, nice looking, spent many summers laying in the sun. Now, at around fifty, her skin is like old wrinkled leather.
My wife takes care of elderly women. Their skin looks old everywhere where it's been exposed to the damaging rays of the sun. However, their butts, which seldom (if ever) saw sunlight, are about the same as when they were young.

Actually, I don't wear sunscreen at all. But I also don't spend much time outside. I hate the smell and the feeling of sunscreen on my skin, and I will not use any cosmetic product that contains it. They did a blind test on me at a department store once because they didn't believe me - they took the same products - one version with sunscreen and one without, and put them on two separate parts of my arm. I could tell the different just by the feeling. It's nasty shit. It's basically paste. If I'm going outside to go swimming in the pool, absolutely - I'll use it...but that's part of the reason I don't go outside much anymore. I guess I'd rather be pale and get made fun of for that than get made fun of because I look like my parents' old leather sofa.

Not so rad. I didn't notice it on Tuesday, because I just jumped in the shower and threw on a t-shirt with a fairly high neckline to run out and pick up my prescriptions, and some other junk. And then this morning when I was getting dressed for work, despite the fact that I did laundry, the only thing I could find showed a fair amount of boobage (as does over half of my wardrobe, of course) and I was like "Oh...fuck". Yeah I just looked again. It appears to be orange but I may need more photographic evidence to further study it. Photos may not be good enough so I will request a government grant to get video with sound so I may study the issue of the supposed orange bra further.

i gotta start working on another design to cut out a piece of cedar. i'm thinking about using the shape of the state of wisconsin...not sure exactly where i might go w/ that.

I can't say that I've ever needed stitches or broken a bone. I tore something in my knee once when I was younger, doing some dance routine (yes...I was dancing).
I've sprained and twisted my ankles a lot, so they're kind of jacked up...but I've also probably just jinxed myself.

Oh, the roller skates were a factor in me falling down at least one of those times I mentioned above about the scar. As someone who had them, I wouldn't recommend them for driveway use like that. Our neighbors used to let me play on their driveway that was really steep and yeah...the scar. And a whole bunch of other mishaps.

Ahh, so my age guestimation of around 5 years old is probably decently accurate. Ann doesn't remember the picture, and I can't find her paper copy of it. We took it my senior year of high school to put it in the yearbook for the kids pic page. And then made a few copies because Stephanie and her mom thought it was cute, so I scanned it earlier at Steph's. I will show it to my mom tomorrow and see if I can get her to recall how old I was, just to satiate my curiosity.

The car is probably an 89. Maybe a 90. Any newer and I think they looked a little puffier, even though they are in the same Phase II series of that RX7 body style.
I think it's the hair that throws me. I know I was 8 or 9 when we moved here to Florida, and my hair had already been MUCH darker. I only remember it being that blonde when I was young. Dammit, I'll probably never figure it out. :lol:

My M16/M203 was in its rack by the front passenger seat of the HMMWV (off camera, behind the photographer) about 5 steps away. My .45 was on my right hip. You can see where the lanyard is attached to it if you look carefully.
And, yes, it sucked. 5.5 months of boredom...boredom...boredom....terror....boredom....boredom...boredom. I don't know how the youngsters today manage it. I stayed awake for the entire ground war. Don't think I could've slept if I'd wanted to. Good thing it was only 4 days and change.

Red fades fast on everyone. I think that picture was three weeks after I had it colored. It looked a bit different when I first had it done, of course. This was the day I had it colored.

The base is a red violet, with a red additive. Usually it fades back to brown on me, since my natural hair color is pretty dark. I've been using a shampoo designed for red hair (Pantene, I think). Usually I use the Matrix ones, but I haven't had the extra cash to spring for yet ANOTHER bottle of shampoo and conditioner. Anyway, I've been mixing the Pantene with Biolage Colorcaretherapie. Mostly because the smell of the Pantene gives me a headache, so usually the lovely scent of Biolage cancels it out. I've also been using this John Frieda color glaze stuff I picked up in Wally World of all places while I was poking around looking for none other than maxi pads. I think it's really helped to keep it as red as it has. Of course now it's not really got that violet base to it, but it's all good. I know it's gonna fade, the girl that colors my hair knows it's going to fade...there's not much we can do.
The two brands of color my salon uses are Matrix and Vivitone. I know we tested both, and I think we ended up using the Matrix red violet, and I think it's a level 6 or 7. I'm thinking 6. So it's moderately dark. It ends up turning out darker on my hair because for some reason my hair is evil and refuses to lighten.

Hmm...I hadn't heard the one where we should wash at colder temperatures. I suppose it makes sense. I never use anything but shampoo made for colored hair. My usual picks are Biolage, Alterna Caviar, and Pureology. I like the Pureology Hydrate Conditioner because it's minty and it makes my scalp feel nice and tingly. :)

I usually get all my shit at Sally's. The lady working told me to just wash at colder temps, stay out of the sun, and use a made for colored hair shampoo. Never works.
I'm so envious of natural bright redheads...or old ladies with gray hair. Those are the only two colors I've never been able to get my hair.

Have you tried henna for the red? I tried it once, and got the most amazing color. Also, it's great for your hair.
Henna is too hard to get out for somebody who is going to lighten their hair again and change the color a lot anyway. Which Keels will totally do.
True. The process takes a long time, too. But if you want a really natural looking red color, it's the way to go.
I'd love to try it, because I find it difficult to maintain a really deep, vibrant shade of red for any longer than one wash. It sucks!
This is the site I got my info and henna from when I did it. (http://www.hennaforhair.com/mixes/index.html) It's also great because you can mix it with different things to tweak the shade. Again, it's a long process, but it looks SO fantastic and it'll do wonders for your hair. I got a buttload of compliments on it from people, who were really surprised to when I told them it wasn't my natural hair color.
