Folks, think twice before you sell your mind to a anyone.

i dunno bout that.
sure, while you're collecting a paycheck from this company, any ideas or solutions, products you come up w/ on their time belong to the ''company''.
that's what being an employee is. don't like it, you start your own company.

as soon as you walk out the door, you're free to come up w/, invent, produce anything you want to, on your own time.
no one ''owns'' your mind 24/7.
i'm sure you can't borrow or reproduce company technology & whatnot, but this seems to me another stretch.

Yeah, you most certainly "don't know" about that.  Do I really have to explain it?

That's exactly what it's about.  People sign contracts to that effect.  When you work, you typically sell your body and your mind for a limited period of time.  When you sign some contracts, you sell both (which amounts to your entire essence) for a much longer period of time.  Think about it.

yeah.
i get it.
there should be a shitcart more self-employed people out there then, shouldn't there?
or maybe people just aren't that wound up about it.

Not necessarily.  They could just refuse to work for such outfits, or "work around" the situation.  Hint: bureaucrats are lousy at catching marked up documents.

Great story WTFK.

All I can think of at the moment is someone like Jenna Jameson is living comfortably in a very nice house, has a family (though there were troubles not so long ago) and generally seemingly good people and things in her life.

I'm renting a granny flat, barely own anything beyond a cheap little hatchback, don't have a family of my own (and probably never will) and am pretty much just surviving, and pretty much alone.

Do I feel superior? Hell no.

Although if I ever do have kids, I'll never have to worry about them and their friends seeing me banging random people in hundreds of videos splayed across the internet. Despite this, I still don't feel superior.

I give up on trying to make sense of things.

Nobodies who make $200-$500 a scene/$1000+ a day/$100k a year, depending on who/what you're willing to do on screen, and how well you pace your career.

Even if you don't 'make it', you can still make a shitload of money. The only reason there aren't more porn millionaires is because most of them suck at managing their money + rampant drug addiction.

Having a bunch of money actually makes it easier to fuck up your life, but idiots tend to fuck up their lives no matter what they do, so its not inherent to porn.

I'm lots of those folks in the higher ranks of government make nice paychecks too, I'm making a direct comparison of the two, its just a question of how low will you go...to make a buck

Rillions reaction is a counter-kneejerk to her upbringing.

You have no idea what my upbringing is, nor is it relevant.

Meant to say this earlier, but yeah. I'm outta place bringing that up.

I'd like to point out that Larry launched his career on Pee Wee's Playhouse. I don't think he is in a position to judge.

No no no. That's a situation where a porn theater ended an acting career.

And that is sad that you would encourage your daughter down a path that is destructive just to satisfy your own twisted sense of justice for women being slighted in our society.

If you think that doing porn is inherently destructive, and you watch it anyway, that is twisted.

But luckily, it isn't.  It is entirely possible to have a lucrative and safe career in porn, which is what I would encourage my hypothetical daughter to do if I found that she was interested in doing so-- which was the question.   It is simply my refusal to judge my daughter for doing nothing wrong.  "Sad" would be if I did otherwise.   You can call me sad when I say I'd encourage my daughter to work for the IRS.

The difference is if you would rather have a daughter that fucks others, or gets fucked by others for a living.

Ok, the verdict is in:  Her tape is trash.  She's arguably trash.  She more than likely has a drug problem, the porn scene thinks its utter crap, and nobody in their right mind will hire her for anything remotely considered "hot" in the adult entertainment industry.

(the truth is, black female porn actors have a much shorter career than white actresses.  They are a niche.  White guys view it as a fetish, and black guys don't really give a shit either.  So to be a recognizable black female, you have to be absolutely smokin'.  And really in demand, to make up for all the movies who simply won't want you.  And in my humble opinion, she's really not very attractive.  Her face is okay, but I don't see her getting a lot of work.)

The "tape" was purposely shot to look like those other "scandalous" pieces of dreck, like Paris Hilton's allegedly leaked home video, Kim Kashardahan's stupid vomit-inducing sex-romp, and Pam Anderson's forgettable Tommy Lee tape.  Her purpose was almost certainly to induce some buzz, and become famous for being famous - which no-talent Hollywood flounders seem to roll the dice on with varying degrees of success, ending up on reality shows because they have name recognition.  What she fails to realize is, she's no Hanna Montana, Paris Hilton, or Kim Kashardahan.  She's a nobody, with a reputation for dating losers.

Most significantly, this video entitled "Montana Fishburne: An A-List Daughter Makes Her XXX Debut", is not her xxx debut.  She already appeared in Phattys Rhymes and Dimes 14, under the stage name "Chippy-D".  The release of this so-called debut tape, she's quoted by TMZ as  saying:

Quote
In recent years, Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, Shauna Sand, and Kendra Wilkinson have all claimed to have had private sex tapes stolen as part of their backroom deal with the distribution company to generate interest and maximize their cut of the profits. To which Montana Fisburne, actor Laurence Fishburne's 19-year old daughter, replied "fuck all that. I don't have all damn day, you know."

TMZ has learned Montana Fishburne is starring in a porno flick for Vivid Entertainment -- explaining, "I've watched how successful Kim Kardashian became and I think a lot of it was due to the release of her sex tape." Unlike the celeb she admires -- Montana is not arguing that her tape was stolen or obtained illegally. We're told the flick is set to be released in August. Montana also talked to CarltonJordan.com about her new gig, saying "The first time is really nerve racking ... but, I have a lot of at-home experience."

Which comes on the heels of her arrest for prostitution (which she pled guilty to lesser charges) and a violent encounter which she broke into her boyfriend's ex-girlfriends home and beat her severely.

Quote
Montana was arrested last February after allegedly barging into the alleged victim's home (the complaint does not give her name), forcing her into the bathroom and beating the crap out of her. We're told the victim had "significant injuries." The L.A. City Attorney's Office has charged Fishburne with battery, and will be adding charges of false imprisonment and assault with a deadly weapon. Montana, who's being repped by the effervescent Shawn Chapman Holley, has pled not guilty and the case is pending. Fishburne's boyfriend, Jerome Greene, was also charged in the attack against his ex-girlfriend but already pled no contest to domestic battery. As for Montana -- who is releasing her first sex tape through Vivid Entertainment -- she has big problems. She was arrested last November for prostitution. Montana pled no contest to the lesser charge of criminal trespass and was placed on probation. The judge could use the pending case to violate her probation.

Despite the decent looking cover glamshots, its an hour snooze-fest of some lame fuckwork, some head, and a lot of soul sister primadonna horseshit.  I would consider this a huge example of stupidity, by a an attention whore idiot-child of a Hollywood celebrity who has a lot to regret.  Whatever meager credibility she may have had in the entertainment industry, however small, and probably favors to her father - which would provide anyone a pretty good lifestyle as a "production assistant"- is now unsalvagable.  Bottom line, she's a scumbag piece of scene-shit, rolling deep with dirtballs in Cokeville, and she'd never be able to stitch two days together serving coffee to the on-set talent of anything resembling a real movie career.

She wants to party, and she's paying with ass.  And she's using her fathers name to punch her meal ticket.  She bought her way in with some name-cred and a little bit of trust-fund allowance money, and its gone - because her father cut her off.  In another year, nobody will want to see her fuck, her tapes won't sell, and it'll get raunchier and raunchier.  By 22 she'll be working a cathouse in Nevada, if she's lucky.

I had my suspicions that she wasn't really aiming high with some fantastic fairy-tale, liberated woman shit as the driving force to her actions.  But I decided to reserve judgment until the porn community spun its wheels on her dirt, which they did with expected efficiency.  Porn is a pretty badass career when you're fucked up, and she's fucked up.  Its gonna grind her up and spit her out, her chances of success are exactly zero-point-zero.  Its a meat factory, and she's neither smart enough to do it right, nor does she have a heavyweight watching her back.  One of those components is essential, and most successful porn actors would argue both are necessary.

Heres the stills:

Presumably for all of the stuff Drifter mentioned.  I saw former Playboy model Tiffany Taylor on True Blood last night, waving her boobs around.  She looks pretty damn good for 33, seems to be doing all right for herself.  Wonder if Mr. Fishburne would be supportive of her?

I'm going to have to make a distinction between centerfolds in magazines and "actresses" in porn videos
