Selling my Mexican Strat
« on: December 28, 2010, 11:59:01 PM »

Well, I've decided to sell my '94 mex Fender Strat. I fell in love with a Gibson today and think I can swing it if I sell a couple lesser machines.

I put a new pearl pick guard on it tonight, strung it, and polished everything. It almost looks too nice to sell now :)

It looks and plays like new. Frets are in great condition. It plays like new.

Do you think $350 would be a good starting price to ask with strap, gig bag and an old dod pedal?

I think $250 is more realistic today.

I think $250 is closer to what I will actually get. I'm going to list it high and see if I can get someone to meet me half way around $300. I'm in no real hurry.

I have a dilemma though. I would need to sell my Epiphone LP custom and a Danelectro to get me close to getting the low end Gibson studio.

I really love my Epiphone.  It looks much nicer than the studio Gibson, but the Gibson sounded so much nastier today. It might have been that pretty logo on the headstock playing with my mind.

Maybe I will just sell the fender and get some hot rodded pickups for my Epiphone and call it good. I'm not sure I could handle dropping a Gibson or having someone jack it from the stage when I'm not looking.

I'm sure the Epi is made better then the Gibson anyway. Just get the damn pickups.
