Title: San Diego State University Libertarians
Post by: Sam Gunn (since nobody got Admiral Naismith) on May 03, 2006, 11:27:46 AM
Are there any San Diego State University Libertarians out there besides me?  On Monday I passed out a ton of fliers that said
"Deregulate Immigration
Open the Borders
Vote Freedom
Vote Liberty
Vote Libertarian"
www.lp.org
www.freetalklive.com
With a great little cartoon depicting an elephant and a donkey tying down the statue of liberty

Anybody from SDSU willing to join the cause of freedom?

Joelberg, I'm at the Univ. of Puget Sound in Tacoma, WA but I'm a San Diego native. I'll be back down in a couple of weeks. We should get together if possible. You guys are still in for another month or so right? PM me if you please.

Myspace and facebook are for university-socialist yuppies. I wonder who uses these sites more, students or the government agencies?

Californians for Liberty?

Isn't that like saying "Pacifists for Genocide"?

No. Stop h8ing CA. It's the norcallers that give the whole state a bad name. I say let them secede like they've always wanted to off and on for the last several decades.

ROFLMFAO!!!!!
I am tempted to send the above quote to the California FSP groups, just to get a rise out of 'em:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/freestaters_nca/
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SoCalFSP/

BTW, the SoCal FSP group has no coordinator at the moment.
Anyone on this thread want to pick that up and earn giant instant karma from the FSP leadership?
Just send mail to localgroups (at) freestateproject.org

Yes it does, goddard, and I'm it ;)

I just can't really do anything until I'm done with finals, ie early next week. They should have updated the info... Anyway, I have set up a mailing list at this location (http://mail.libertarianactivism.com/mailman/listinfo/socal-fsp_libertarianactivism.com) (It uses GNU Mailman). I also started a Mambo CMS powered site at http://libertarianactivism.com/mambo, but no one's signed up to help yet so I gave up on it basically right after creating it.

I still have yet to see a post explaining what "Norcallers" are.

I still have yet to see a post explaining what "Norcallers" are.
People from NorCal, ie, the Bay Area (San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland), Sacramento, etc.
I escaped from NorCal to arrive in the Free State in July 2005.

I know the SF Bay Area has a decent number of active. dedicated libertarians.
They are just pouring water on sand, though.
I wish I could get more of 'em to stop wasting their time and let California be plundered by the socialists; it's going to happen anyway and they may as well put their efforts where they will actually get some successes!

Any of them work well for revealing libertarianism.

Oh NoCal'ers gotcha. Yeah same with here in Massachusetts. Plenty of active libertarians that are still trying to "win over" Mass. Mass is almost, if not as bad as California in it's socialism. I decided that my efforts were best placed in a state where the average person thinks you have a right to keep and bear arms and that taxation is a dirty word. No New Hampshire isn't perfect and there are plenty of battles to fight there but at least there is a population that leans libertarian on a lot of issues to work on.

You'd have to be from the golden state to understand :)

BTW, I pass out fliers here on a semi regular basis, and will do the same down there as well. If you talk to Morey, please have him e-mail me I haven't been able to get in contact with him lately.

Being Libertarian alone is... mostly useless.
We've had super-active, principled Libertarians in California for 30 years.

The whole point of the FSP is to not keep following the failed tactics of the past.
Libertarians need to vote with their feet, and converge on one geographical location.

Yes, this is mighty inconvenient.
However... like TooL said.... this is necessary!

I would agree. Where in CA are you? I want to organize a beach party/BBQ event for San Diego FSP members. If you're in the area, please PM me and we can get this going!

I've lived in SoCal my entire life!  There's something about the deserts down here I just love that I think just changes the people.  I love it.
