The whole thing was really annoying. There was a patronizing tone on the NPR article and the commenters are either loons or progressive, nanny-state dicks.
"what happens when your child is poisoned by uninspected bacon? You're going to need my inspected hospital and ambulance paid for by my taxes. YOU NEED ME!"  that post completely ignores the fact that PF has been going on for years and I don't think any death or lawsuits have come of it. It also doesn't make the logical step of if my food can be safe without gov't inspection, so can my doctor.
These things make me want to facepalm myself repeatedly.

All of the bacon was inspected and smoked (cooked), or it likely was as most store bought bacon is smoked and possibly safe to eat without further cooking.  In fact, George may have cooked in again in an oven (cooked the weaves together) and than cooked it a 3rd time at Porcfest on the grill.  It was all cooked, likely, 2-3 times.

As for the NPR audience, sounds typical of what I think of when I think of NPR audience.  My guess is less than 1% of adults in the US are voluntaryists/ anarcho-capitalists/ market anarchists.

"We're talking about 'Big L' Libertarians."

I thought that it was the other way round. More 'little L' libertarians.

Made me mad that they assumed the dude with a gun would literally run a person with bad food out of the campground. Thats not what would happen obviously.

My guess is less than 1% of adults in the US are voluntaryists/ anarcho-capitalists/ market anarchists.

A lot less than that lol. Thats why they're gathering in NH. Strength in numbers.

There certainly were errors in the report.  Capital X means political part.  Lower case x means ideology or something similar.  Libertarian, Conservative, Liberal, Republican and so on are political parties.  Liberal, conservative, republican and libertarian are ideologies or something else.
