Don't eat hamburger.

Get a whole sirloin tip on sale at your local grocery, have the butcher run it through the meat grinder once, bring it home and freeze it into 1 pound ziplocks.

Voila:  The best "steak burger" you've ever had.

Couldn't agree more.  My girlfriend used to buy the 90% ground beef until I caught her at it.  Had her get the cheaper 70% stuff and we both agreed it not only tasted better but had more value due to the lower price.

Bah. We eat nothing but 96/4 and love it.

Meat + egg + Worcestershire soak + Black pepper + grill = tastyburger.

I'm able to eat burgers+chili+pasta several times a week and I'm still losing weight.

Most people don't get enough fat?  I've been following nutrition news heavily since 1997 and have never heard that before.  I guess that is true of any people outside of the US, but if you are talking about people in the US, I don't know what to say to a comment like that.

Shaw has a good tip there about mixing an egg in. It really makes it delish.

Personally I dont buy ground beef or steak, my parents have a farm and my freezer is full :)

That and some seasonings and I've been able to make some pretty mean burgers that are half cow (pink slime) and half turkey.  But I won't be buying the pink slime anymore now that I've had my illusions shattered.

Like I said, watch the ads and when it goes on sale it is cheaper than hamburger, NO JOKE.

Get the butcher to grind it and add in extra fat if needed then freeze it.

Sure, you gotta buy 40-50 bucks worth at a time and small bag it for the freezer yourself, but I promise you'll never go back to shit ass ground chuck.

Shit's delicious.
