OK, I can respect enjoying pets that you're later planning to eat.

PM me for a great cajun turtle soup recipe.  ;)

Robin do you trick you pets into a false sense of security--->then eat them:)
only the ones made of beef and pork.... mr. kite is safe from becoming meatloaf or bacon  :D but yes, the animals raised on the farm here are for food. until they meet their demise they are treated like family. the cows always like a good scratch behind the ears and the baby will even play hide and seek behind a wall in his stable... the pigs are awesome because you can train the to go on walks with a leash and harness just like a dog.

Thats what my parents do, except for the leash and harness. Plenty of lovin' then they're plenty willing to follow you to the butcher.

On a happier note....

Sometimes, being the dog of a little girl is tough. Being tucked in on a cold rainy day and having his ears scratched until he dozed off... this was not that day.

WOW! I could not see this pic on my other computer. My head just about exploaded from the cuteness factor.

i'm not sure what it is with turtles. i am more than willing to try just about any food. but i am weirdly attached to mr kite. i will be the first to admit its probably not healthy for me to love a turtle haha

my landlords have introduced me to all sorts of things i would have never thought to eat at home. Saumagen was actually not too bad after half a bottle of schnapps.

Haggis is quite delicious with whiskey.  :)

Have been trying to get my Scottish friend here to make it, but I don't think he cooks. He does bring Buffalo burgers over randomly, they are pretty decent.

What, when Burns night was just a few days ago?  Methinks your friend is not a true Scot!

Just kidding....living in Germany might have caused him to forget.  :)

I go away on my own when the comedic or dramatic value reaches a point of diminishing returns (my standards, not yours), and the "pet ownership is a moral flaw" gig is on its last legs.  Maybe it's about time I put it to sleep...

Skullhound uses it's at-will ability bite, causing 1d4 damange!

Do you wish to spend a healing surge?

edit: rather than responding below, to save space  - it was a DnD reference (4th Ed.), but I guess that could work for video games too. :)

I memedited my Defense Strength to 255, it cannot hurt me.

(And that was supposed to be a dogification of just how old and dead this joke is, not a video game reference, but what the heck.)

EDIT re above edit:  I can memedit IRL too.

I do beleive he has been living in Germany selling energy drinks for too long. He is a good guy, even if I can't get him to make me some Haggis.  8)

I think one of my ferrets is changing from being brown to being silver. WEIRD!?

And the other one which is white is getting a few black hairs tossed in amongst the rest of his hair.

Our newest family member!

Roxanne...we adopted her this Christmas. I have never owned a cat before, so it's been a learning experience.

This is Howard Moon...my beta. He has lived for over 6 months now, I'm shocked.

and of course I still have my lil chihuahua.
