I am shocked there has not been a "Speed Limits" BS.
You know... I'd like to see this. I was driving through Texas last week, and loved their approach to speed limits.
80, with a couple of qualifiers about night time or potential flooding, on the interstate, except in the cities. And the highways were marked 10-15 miles higher than here in Georgia. (The center of small towns were @ 35mph, but not for more than just the few blocks around the post office, school and store.)
I felt perfectly safe zipping along at 85 with the rest of traffic, and everyone seemed to naturally adjust as heavier traffic, wind or rain storms changed driving conditions. Saw fewer cops and accidents in 2-3 days of travel than I see in a typical drive across town to the dentist.
