That joke about human extinction not being a bad thing pisses me off to no end, especially since some idiots actually believe that crap!  Man, even compared with all religious stupidity out there, atheism is starting to sound more and more retarded...

(EDIT: but this thread is about rational solutions, not religious brainwashing.)

Even at its most extreme, atheists are seldom known to instruct each other to Jihad, Crusade or have a Reconquista, Inquisition, Just War or other fights of righteousness.

Really, all atheists do is talk.

You should work on your reading comprehension skills. His counterexample referred to how the USSR, a nation of 146 million people with very few adherents of any religion within  still was the cause of many wars.

Any student of Soviet history also knows that many non-committed communists, like those who still practiced their religion, were pushed down in society. They were not the powerful or wealthy.

Sorry if I was unclear, I was agreeing with him while still making another point. Let me refine it.

Yes, atheists can be warriors. But, here's the point of the quote:

Quote
The Soviet Union was an atheist state.

Which part of that caused the war?
 I may have trick-trolled this up.

Communism is a religion - just, as history shows, not a very effective one.

Ah, I agree, and so is Atheism, and it comes in many flavors.  In my opinion they only non-religion out there is Agnosticism "Don't Know, Don't Care"

This thread isn't about religion vs atheism, it's about natural rights, which can only be empirically recognized through the epistemology I call "evolutionary pragmatism" - the societal ruleset that presents the greatest materialistic advantage is the most desirable.  That is the rational foundation behind self-ownership, homesteading, and all other rights.

And secular libertarian cultures, which tend to average around 0.9 kids per pussy, in spite of all their other merits, just simply don't work in the long-term.  That can only mean one thing - there are some aspects of natural parents' rights that we are failing to recognize!

The Duggars were mentioned earlier in this thread, so I'm happy to be able to bump this with the following good news:

From AP via Breitbart -- Reality show mom gives birth to 19th child --

Quote
An Arkansas couple featured on the reality TV show "18 Kids and Counting" now has 19.

Cable network TLC says 43-year-old Michelle Duggar gave birth to a 1-pound, 6-ounce daughter Thursday night during an emergency cesarean section. She had been due March 18.

TLC says the child is in stable condition in the neonatal intensive care unit for extended care at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.

The network airs the show starring Duggar, her 44-year-old husband, Jim Bob, and their brood.

It says the Duggars named their 19th child and ninth daughter Josie Brooklyn.

The Duggars' first grandchild was born Oct. 8. Their oldest son, Josh, and his wife, Anna, also had a daughter, Mackynzie Renee Duggar.

Every child being born in the "first world" is a small victory for the human civilization, and a small stab in the heart of the socialist Luddites who want to cull the herd down to a more manageable size...  :x
