On Weight Watchers. Bought a scale that can hold me up and everything. They have an online setup I'm using. Works like an MMO.

Day four of the new paradigm. Haven't felt hungry yet. They've got this shit down to a science.

They find your average food intake compared to your weight and height and sex and shit, subtract 5% from it, and that's what you're allowed to eat. Weigh in every week and recalculate. Repeat. Very slow but I guess it works well.

Don't just boost your calories.  Change your diet to quality foods with more nutritional value.  Body-building would help though, honestly, IF you combine it with about six small good protein meals a day.  Not massive amounts-- your body can only process a limited amount of protein at a time.  Go easy on the cardio.  If you have a high metabolism, you can burn muscle and it will keep you freakishly skinny.

Make sure you're getting plenty of sleep.  I heard getting enough sleep can make about 14 lbs of weight-loss difference a year.  I'm sure it varies from person to person.  I imagine it would trend toward even more for larger people.

I've read that WW has about the most effective program going. And, I know several people who swear by it. The outfit has been doing this for a very long time, and has it down pretty good.

I've used weight watchers - it works like magic!  low carb is easier though...

Easier <> Better

My issue is heart related and stuffing my face with meat will kill me in no time. If I'm having meat, I'm eating tuna and grilled chicken because I can have more of it anyway.

unless you are willing to eat fish 3-4 times a week (NOT tuna)
you should take fish oil pills every day
i do it, cuz i fucking detest fish & it has proven to be a great heart-healthy supplement (high in omega-3 fatty acid-bullshit-doctor-talk-shit)
2 much dense, steak-type fish (shark, tuna, flipper), has more mercury.....not a big deal, unless you're eating 2 lbs a week.
my blood test shows a great cholesterol level, and i'm a red-meat-eating freakazoid motherfucker.....gimme that 24 oz. fillet w/ a porterhouse side.
also, get on the green tea train, friendo
i drink the shit out of it----NOT store-bought  - 1 tsp. raw sugar to 2 tea bags

Seriously though, like dragline said, fish oil, green tea, red wine, anything with omega 3 oils and antioxidants allows you to eat more red meat without the exploding heart thingy going on. I'm "sorta" skinny but my triglycerides and other bad choloesteral levels were kinda high for a 40 yr old and the doc wanted to put me on some high $$$$ shit that I would always have to take. Instead I went the natural route and kept eating all the same high fat foods I always ate, but took the above stated stuff regularly. Next visit the levels were down and the doc said "have you changed your diet?" Told him what I was taking and he said "oh yeah, that works too"   WTF?
