May 25th- Towel Day
« on: May 25, 2010, 10:52:44 AM »

http://www.towelday.org/
Quote
Towel Day is an annual celebration on the 25th of May, as a tribute to the late author Douglas Adams (1952-2001). On that day, fans around the universe proudly carry a towel in his honour.

I love Douglas Adams! How can I get involved?

On the 25th of May, carry a towel. Where? Everywhere!

Proudly show the world you've observed Towel Day and upload a picture to Flickr, tagging it with "towelday" (most interesting - latest - group) or make a YouTube video (most relevant - latest). We look forward to seeing yours!

Want to help the cause? Tweet about #towelday, blog, post in forums, share a link in Facebook, link to the site... The more we are, the merrier!

Douglass Adams and Kurt Vonnegut (can't choose) have to be my two favorite fiction writers.

I'd argue that your favorite author is Kurt Vonnegut.

/because the other person isn't an author.

Unless he's in the same aisle as Charles Dikkens, Darles Chickens, Marles Pickens, or Farles

Are you trying to bust my balls for using the wrong spelling of "Douglass?"

I didn't spend my time reading the cover.

Depends on what edition you got.

Dude seriously, you don't have to be a hard ass over something so trivial it could have just been a typo.
