I woke up today expecting to hear that some massive mayhem went down in the "Day Of Rage", but this Japan situation dominated.

As for the "day of rage", based on my research...it does not appear that anything actually happened.

I am surprised about the oil consumption.  Japan has a fantastic public transportation system.  Well it use to prior to the quake.

Also a little surprise there are no American casualties.  Japan has several US bases.  Possible the lack of foreign casualties is due to the fact the main part of the tsunami hit a farming district as opposed to a tourist area.

If any country could handle quake damage to a nuke plant it would be Japan.  Mostly because Japan is plagued with quakes and builders always make that a consideration in their constructions.
If a quake like that hit New York most of the buildings would be flattened and the death totals would be considerably higher.

I can't claim this comment as my own, it appeared as the first comment at the Business Insiders coverage of the story.

I thought it was pretty funny, no offense Dale.

San Francisco, where even the Tsunamis are Gay.

Add the numerous nuclear reactor explosions and the volcanic eruption, and these folks in Japan are experiencing 2012 full swing.
