I am too.  I don't know anything about the SCAR.  After reading your post, I just learned that there is a 7.62x51 version of the SCAR, so thanks for mentioning it.

The Massoud is 7.62x51.  If it's like the Masada/ACR, it will be light, ambidextrous, have a floating barrel, and be adaptable & easily broken down.  Like the SCAR, apparently, it also has the rails, folding/adjustable stock, and cheek weld.

The extent of my knowledge about rifles has come from discussions here, and Boston's Gun Bible.  As you might imagine if you're familiar with either, I'm interested in 7.62x51, and I wonder how these "new" rifles compare to the M14, & FAL.

Well I didn't think it through that far, they just looked pretty much the same, i didn't even check to see if they were the same caliber.

The extent of my gun knowledge comes from counter-strike and wikipedia.

I was going to complain about how ugly it is. I hate plastic guns. But watching those videos changed my mind. They really keep the recoil down for a .308

Still ugly though
