Hey guys, I've been looking around for a list or brief overview of some kind of all the national(ized?) currencies that are still precious metals based. I poked around the liberty dollar site several times, and wasn't able to really find a whole lot of info. I e-mailed Norfed (I thik), and if I did, I didn't get any response about it. It was a long time ago, hence I don't even remember for sure if I actually did try to contact them.
Anyway, the point here is that I'm looking for this information for research/advocacy purposes, and it would be good ammo to have on hand so to speak.
Thanks in advance,
Andrew

Doesn't Switzerland have gold backed Francs?
My avatar is from a postcard I saw in Switzerland.

The banking cartels control every monetary system on the planet.
This is your wake up call.

I believe brokor is correct, and all government currencies are fiat currencies.
But one thing is for sure: there are private currency alternatives.

Coffee- That link doesn't help very much, no offense. I already know what the situation with the US/ALD/FRNs is. The question is whether other countries are still metals backed. I heared recently somewhere that the Iraqi currenty under Sadaam was? This sounds very counter-productive for a stalin-worshiping Baath-socialist dictator to do, so I would take this with a huge brick of salt...
