I am writing out a script for a libertarian themed comic book. Since I cant draw worth a damn, I need someone to pencil out the characters for me. The pleminary plan is for the artist to recieve a story arc every few months, but every month I will send out the comic itself with basic sketches, dialogue, dialogue bubbles, and notes. I want to publish this online for free without color, and make a few trade copies to show comic book publishers to see if we can get a contract. Anyone interested?

Probably the most libertarian NOFX song.

Quote
NOFX-Re-gaining Unconsciousness

First they put away the dealers,
keep our kids safe and off the street.
Then they put away the prostitutes,
keep married men cloistered at home.

Then they shooed away the bums,
then they beat and bashed the queers,
turned away asylum-seekers,
fed us suspicions and fears.
We didn't raise our voice,
we didn't make a fuss.
It's funny there was no one left to notice
when they came for us.

Looks like witches are in season,
you better fly your flag and be aware
of anyone who might fit the description,
diversity is now our biggest fear.

Now with our conversations tapped
and our differences exposed,
how ya supposed to love your neighbor
with our minds and curtains closed?
We used to worry 'bout big brother,
now we got a big father and an even bigger mother.

And you still believe
this aristocracy gives a fuck about you.
They put the mock in democracy
and you swallowed every hook.

The sad truth is
you'd rather follow the school into the net
'cause swimming alone at sea
is not the kind of freedom that you actually want.

So go back to your crib and suck on a tit
go bask in the warmth of your diaper.
You're sitting in shit and piss
while sucking a giant pacifier,
a country of adult infants.
A legion of mental midgets,
a country of adult infants,
a country of adult infants.
all regaining their unconsciousness

Needs more metal.

It will be metal, when we get the music done. At least I consider it to be metal, although it has also been described as "epic rock" by some who have heard it while we were working out the arrangement. But when I hear "epic rock" I think Pink Floyd, so I'm not sure.

'nother one. This one is called "Non-concept"

VERSE 1
Find the diamond in a great big pile of lies
Spend it all at once before it starts attracting flies
I bring you bone-breaking bureaucrats bearing a crutch
So you can get back up again and thank me very much

It's a necessary evil, it's Sophie's tragic choice
Keep your silence if you want to keep your voice
Feed on fallacy 'till a fool in fear remains
I will make you free if you will wear these chains

CHORUS
Sing me a love song, but avert your eyes
Pledge to me your fealty, and nevermind the lies
I am your master, I am your fate
Now sing me a love song for everything you hate

VERSE 2
Break a million windows to bring you wealth
Drink a cup of poison to your good health
Plunder provides people peace and prosperity
And violations in the name of purity

Two plus two is five, if that's what it needs to be
Do as Simon says, and leave the thought to me
Pilfer Paul to pay Peter, then put the pair in jail
I deny you paradise, but you can choose your hell

CHORUS

Why won't you believe, why won't you behave
Why don't you just be quiet, just like the other slaves
Why won't you listen, why won't you see
Why won't you bow down to me

I know a couple of people who can really draw. You can't get anything out of them. They will get excited about a concept then forget about it 10 minutes later. Artists are flakier than IT guys. :P

Crass.

Crass sucks, but I love them.

Ha! A lot of their stuff borders on 'unlistenable'.. but that's part of the beauty. The guitar player joined the band not knowing how to play guitar, not sure if he ever learned.

It just occurred to me...

I read "Tortilla Flat" by Steinbeck about 15 years ago. I was so revulsed by the sense of ethics portrayed in that book that, in retrospect, I feel I was catapulted toward libertarianism. After reading that, I was ripe for "Atlas Shrugged". I know it is supposed to be a comedy, but it really turned me off from Steinbeck.

I'll toss in a few songs-not all the bands are really libertarian, but the songs are..at least i think so.

Can't believe no one mentioned The Beatles "Taxman":

Copperhead Road:

Dave Mustaine and Megadeth..."Symphony of Destruction":

ac/dc "If you want blood"...(listen to the lyrics...)

And perhaps my favorite song-ac/dc "Jailbreak"
