You all need to go watch this right now.

Not because it's a great movie. It's just a decent movie. But it deals with subjects that you don't normally get to see in the mainstream. For that reason, I really liked it.

I watched Outlander last night because I'd recorded it on my DVR a few weeks ago.  It was terrible.

"Sucker Punch". It was unique to be sure, but in the end I felt it was more eye candy than anything else. I think it lost a lot of people from the "fantasy in a fantasy" approach.

It was a banner movie weekend for me... A banner of shame.
Breaking Dawn pt 1 with my daughter and a group of her 5th grade friends on Sunday.
Then today, took boys to see Phantom Menace 3d re-release.

Sigh.

Girlfriend made me watch the new twilight movie online when it came out (VOMIT). Thats it, no more of those until MST3K is added, all I could do was riff the whole time.

Wait... I was under the impression this was a trilogy. Are they breaking the last movie into two parts Harry Potter style?

3D - The Adventures Of Tintin: Secret Of The Unicorn was the last thing I watched.

"The Gold Rush," Chaplin's 1925 flick. Good film, worth seeing. At least as good a silent movie as "The Artist," and you don't have to pay twelve bucks to see it.

The Hunger Games yesterday, John Carter today.

Both were very good, and I thought did a pretty darn good job portraying the books they were based on.
Visually, John Carter was head & shoulders above Hunger Games. I get why HG uses so much of the handheld camera and off kilter shots, but it is a bit disorienting - had to look away from the screen every so often. Thought it was just my 40+ eyesight kicking in, but have heard others talk about it too.
