Sword of Gideon.  Sick old movie about the Israeli agents who go out and take revenge against the planners of the Munich terrorist attack.

I just saw the Rise of the Planet of the Apes.  It was good, not great.  The story is pretty obvious and it seems to drag on a bit before coming to an abrupt ending that sets up the sequel.  The graphics were great, though, and I think they were did a very good job with a storyline that was going to be pretty obvious.  The casting and acting was also a high point...they just could have hurried things along at certain points.

I finally bit the bullet and sat through a marathon of every single Harry Potter movie, I have never watched it before. I have to say, Harry Potter was actually pretty good. And as much as it bothers me, I wanted Voldemort to win. Dumbledore just seemed like an ass and deserved to die.

That's impressive.

I recorded that on Showtime and watched it this past weekend.  It's a pretty terrible story and made me trust the government even less than I already did.

Seconded, even though I like the parts involving Matt Damon's and Jude Law's characters. That would've been more interesting to see those parts than the govt agents that were just like "duhhhhhhhhhh how do we fix this?!?!"

Shutter Island is weird - hard to follow..

Thats because the movie is a piece of shit.  Read the book.  Denis Lehane is a modern master, I have a lot of respect for his style.

He started with a bunch of Private Eye books, kinda like Raymond Chandler, which aren't mandatory and most people (here) would find kinda annoying, because it's like cop-drama.  Personally I don't like much of that, either.

But Shutter Island was a major departure from that style and genre, it's hard to believe the same person wrote the PI books and Shutter Island.  The man has talent.  And he's relatively young, I have high hopes for more to follow.

Watching that movie, I was angry for weeks.  I'm angry now, and it's been like two years.  If I was him and that was my book, I'd have lost my marbles.  Book-wrecking no-talent movie-assholes.

I donno what the last movie I watched was.  I've been digging Sunny In Philadelphia.  I like series stuff.

I'm gonna watch Everything Must Go one of these days.  But it could be a while before I do it.
