I saw X-Men: First class, it was okay. They played the whole gay rights thing too obvious. Movies that do a social commentary shouldn't have to lay it on so heavy.

Not a movie, but hey--it's out on Netflix. I just finished Season Three of "The Wire," HBO's crime drama. Season Three had some good libertarian themes bent around drug legalization. In the story, a Baltimore police deputy decides (without the knowledge of his superiors) to "legalize" drugs in certain well-defined areas of his district. The result is that crime overall plummets, and those in charge can't figure out why.

And of course, Bubbles is always fun to watch, as is Omar.

The Adjustment Bureau

Assumed it was gonna be a serious thriller/action/suspense/mind-fuck type thing.

WRONG!!

Its a chick flick with some action in it. A love story with angels and shit.

Matt Damon is chased and has his life fucked with by some mysterious goons.............. secret government shit, illuminati, worse?????   NOPE!!!   Fucking ANGELS................... yes, angels   Boy, what a letdown this was.

My own fault for assuming it was something it was not. Should have done my homework before watching.

If you like chick flick/love stories with a little bit of suspense/thrill factor, oh, and believe in angels, you might dig this movie.

Captain America. Surprisingly, it's not full of propaganda as people might think. It's more about the two real characters of the movie: Captain America and the Red Skull. The rest is just incidental fluff to make it more interesting.

I'ma sit in the back row during a weekday matinee after it's been out a while for Captain America so I can fap to Chris Evans' waxed chest, all glistening with fresh sweat...

Holy fucking god. I just saw Rise of the Planet of the Apes and it was fantastic. The plot was great, it did justice to the franchise, the cgi was amazing, and the action was pretty sweet. There were so many great moments in it (it's hard no to spoil), and Andy Serkis did an amazing job at portraying Caesar as the reluctant revolutionary. The best part is you find yourself rooting for the apes, all they want is their freedom. I recommend seeing it.

Really?  From the trailers I got the feeling that it was just another crappy anti-science film.  I still plan on seeing it, just don't want to pay to see it in theaters.

There was some commentary on the dangers of genetic engineering, but it didn't feel too overwhelming.
