Now that it's available On Demand from Comcast, I finally watched The Last Airbender with my kidlets tonight. Nowhere near as good as the cartoon series, but I didn't find it as horrible as I expected.
I'm sure only spending $4.99 for the five of us instead of $50+ in the theater helped my outlook.

RoboCop

Recent discussion on the show about Detroit made me want to watch it again.  The scary thing is...every time I watch it, more of the crap in it has happened.  Turns out they more or less nailed the fate of "Old Detroit," and the mercantilization of everything.  One of the funniest parts is where the "Star Wars Peace Platform" accidentally destroys Santa Barbara and "kills to former US presidents," presumably including Reagan.

There were several gags like that in the film, including insider-type stuff for people who live(d) in LA.  I'm pretty sure I saw a cameo appearance of Eddie Van Halen, too, but it wasn't in the credits.

Its classic liberty themes (though admittedly left-tinted) make it a great old title to see anew.

Edited to fix typos and clarify wording, added the paragraph about gags and so forth.

I went to see The Black Swan yesterday.  It was one of the creepiest movies I've ever seen.  I don't know that I'd want to watch it again because it was so hard to watch at certain points.  That said, it was a good movie, especially if watching someone's step by step mental destruction doesn't bother you too much ;)

Jackie Brown, not as good as Pulp Fiction, but a good movie nonetheless.

American: The Bill Hicks Story.

The way it's filmed with manipulation of old photos is annoying toward the beginning, just in my humble view, but as the film progresses and includes more video it gets better.  And all of it is worth listening to.  Region 2 only at this point, but multi-region DVD players are cheap at this point.  All DVD players should be multi-region.

The Immaculate Conception of Little Dizzle

It's about cookies that make you trip out and then cause men to have fishy butt-babies.

Available for instant streaming on Netflix.

I watched The Book of Eli last night and it was terrible.  Aside from a couple decent fight scenes and Mila Kunis, there was nothing good about it.
