Mad Max was on yesterday. I didn't really feel like watching it, but my brother never saw it before.

Last I saw in theaters was Pirahna 3-D.  It was a cheesy gore and nudity fest in 3D.  It delivered the goods.

....Cool Hand Luke for the first time all the way through last night  :D

I freaking LOVE that movie. The first time I saw it was in Government Class in High School while we had a substitute. He didn't get to come back.

Otto, or Up With Dead People

Gay zombie movie.  It's an artsy movie that makes fun of artsy movies.

There's a cool scene where a zombie kills his boyfriend, eats some of his guts, and then fucks him in the hole he just made in his abdomen.  He wears a condom... after eating bloody guts.  This is all viewable on instant streaming video through Netflix.  There's not really much actual zombie porn.  Just, like, two very brief scenes counting that one.

I think I may have already posted this around here somewhere but I can't recall for sure.  I know I posted it over on the Anti-state website.  Oh well.  You can't really over-promote gay zombie porn.  Can you?

It is.  My str8 friends gave it a shot and were finding it pretty entertaining.

The Horseman  (via Netflix Instant)

It's supposed to be a gross and gritty revenge film, and I thought I wouldn't be able to stand watching it....but really it's not that gross or gritty at all, and actually rather silly and nonsensical plot-wise.  So by the end I was laughing at the absurdity of it even as people were getting strangled and splattered around, which probably wasn't the intended effect.

Jaws 3 -- ridiculous

Fright Night -- very nice special effects for the time, otherwise laughable

Zardoz -- Ummm.  I don't think taking any amount or kind of drugs before seeing this film would make me appreciate it.  They certainly seem to have helped someone to make it, though.

A syfy original movie - Mandrake.

It was bad. And not bad in the fun way the awful Alien Apocalypse was bad.

Haven't decided if I'll hit record for the 1am repeat of this week's gem - Sharktopus.

Was dragged into "Dinner for Schmucks" a few weeks back. It, predictably, sucked.

Watched Spartacus, and Paths of Glory last night.

Spartacus was too long, sappy, and too Hollywood. It had the major players, but still lacked historical authenticity. I think Kubrick was trying to make an epic "sword and sandals" film, but this wasn't it. He usually picks music well for his films, but didn't here. It came up short in a lot of ways, and its funny to note the film becomes worse AFTER the slave revolt begins.

Paths of Glory was a brilliant film about war. I think Kubrick captured the injustices, and inhumanity, the cowardice, and villainy very well.
