I didn't see it recently, but I really, really liked Serenity.  If you haven't seen the tv show it's based on, you can catch 5 episodes of it on hulu.com:

http://www.hulu.com/firefly

apparently, hulu is rolling through the season (there was only 1 season of the show), dropping the earliest show and adding the latest.

That sounds good. I've some of the movie I think.

Watching "Cape Fear (1991)" on Youtube though now.  Be warned: youtube is missing part 8.

Currently watching The Union: The Business Behind Getting High (instant play on Netflix)

It's made by Canadians and focused mainly on British Columbia, but so far is a really good documentary on marijuana, laws against it, how grow ops are run, etc.

Pirate Radio.

Very nice. Good tunes, good comedy, made me LOL in parts, very good cause to get behind civil disobedience wise.

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

--

My girlies never saw this.  I'm running totally cool movies for them, when they're around.  Depp was awesome.  I like Johnny Depp, he makes me laugh in the way he takes on a role.  Obviously, check the avatar.

I love the way he went all jerky in it.  Its a fucking brilliant juxtaposition to the rest of the horde.

The Day The Earth Stood Still (2008)

It was an ugly lefty socialist hack job of a pretty good original.  How bad was it?  The earth doesn't stand still in the middle of the plot, and really has no part in the plot at all.  Apparently the writers thought they had to put it somewhere, so they put it at the end--a sort of afterthought, or "timeout" for the audience to absorb their superior leftist message (which is, that property is theft, etc. "The Earth is not yours.")

But I'm A Cheerleader . . .

Bizarre movie. It reminded me of something they'd show on TVO.

Good description.  That movie was horrible.
