After watching Cemetery Man I asked Boyfriend if there was ever a horror movie, or pseudo-horror movie, in which people acted intelligently.  He said no, because intelligent people would always get the fuck away from whatever the scary thing was and then there would be no movie.

True?  Or is there a horror movie out there in which people don't idiotically put themselves directly in harm's way, over and over again?

Last House on the Left was probably the most disturbing movie I've ever seen.  I'm speaking of the original, haven't seen the remake yet.  Not your typical horror flick - no masked slashers or supernatural bullshit.  Just raw human depravity at its worst.

I've been watching The Legend of the Seeker series on Hulu.  It's really not that great, but I'm a sucker for fantasy epics however cliched they may be.

Also I just saw Dr. Horrible again, with my mom; she liked it very much.

I watched it once by myself, once with a friend (who loved it), and once with a girlfriend who didn't think too highly of it.  She has no sense of humour.

Just watched it now, with you guys hyping it up.
I thought it was great and quite funny.

Well, Evil dead 2 had a fantastic scene early on where the shit hits the fan, and Ash looks up, they cut to his car, and then smash cut to him driving madly away from the evil cabin. Was hilarious.

Of course, it didn't work out...

Then again, Evil Dead 2 is a crowning achievement of awesome in dozens of ways, and one of the best, funniest, most horrifying horror movies ever.

Oh man, I've seen that.....but it was many, many years ago.  The one where he cuts his girlfriend's head off, and then later his own hand?   I think we have it on DVD; will have to check.

One of the best scenes from any movie ever:

I just watched it paying attention to it for the whole movie the entire time for the first time. That creepy deer head on the wall is gonna give me nightmares.

There are so many jokes hidden away in that movie that it's not even funny.

Ever catch Curly going "Whoop whoop whoop!" during the scary sounds scene?

The Thirteenth Floor
based on the book, Simulcron 3
I lost track of the characters the first time so this time I got more out of it.
I didn't hear about this movie when it was new -- just found it browsing one night. I consider it a sleeper.
Now I wanna read the book.

The Brothers Solomon

I'm not going to lie to you - it was a bad movie. Painfully so.
But I watched it anyway, and laughed.
