Last House on the Left (2009)

This was one of the better horror movie remakes that I've seen.  THey got rid of the two bumbling cops from the original, and made a tighter film.  The motivation of the parents was different, but still a good movie.

Speed Racer. Kids talked me into it, less than an hour ago.

That's right. It's still on. I just chose to be someplace else.

Lesbian Vampire Hunters.

It was meh.

That's surprising to hear. I mean, Lesbian Vampire Hunters? How can you mess that up?

Monty Python - The Meaning of Life

Have you seen the Life of Bryan? Penn and Teller say it is more accurate about the time Jesus lived than The Passion of the Christ.

LOL my wife asked me the same question.  I saw it a long time ago, but now I guess we have to go pick it up.

Not sure if it counts as a movie, but Guys and Dolls. It's a documentary about RealDolls and the pathetic bastards who love them.

I prefer the version with gamblers singing and dancing.

My Little Chickadee, Netflixed. Not Mae West's best, or W. C. Fields'.

Monsters vs. Aliens.

Mediocre movie, but based on monsters I've loved since I was a kid.

They have spoofs of:

The Fly
The Blob
The Creature (From the Black Lagoon)
The Fifty Foot Woman
Mothra

Also, I gotta tell you about the RealD 3d process - It works great. Uses polarized glass so you can view the offset image on a special screen. No anaglyphic red/blue crap. It's actually not a new process, but it's nice to see a comeback. They really push the idea of recycling the glasses in a bin after the movie, so they can be cleaned and reused to save money.

I, of course, reached into the recycle bin and grabbed a scad of them.

Anyway, the process works pretty much perfectly. Mel has never been able to see a 3d movie in 3d before now, so she was tickled.

EDIT: Oh! A pic of the loot -

There was a recycle bin at the exit door of the theater. I reached into it and grabbed two handfuls. The usher looked at me and I said, "Hey, I'm taking a bunch of these, that okay?" and she said "Sure"
