It is, and it isn't. It's about the politics of a fantasy world, it's no different about being indignant that there is a clear monarchial system in Lord of the Rings.

Yeah, they're both movies with political messages.  V for Vendetta was about a corrupt political system and the particular way in which an individual opposed it, whereas the Lord of the Rings was about an evil overlord who was trying to take over the entire kingdom by corrupting the minds of its rulers.

To castigate people for discussing the political messages in V for Vendetta is every bit as stupid as castigating people for talking about police dynamics in "Training Day."  Maybe you haven't noticed, but every movie with a fictional scenario is about a fantasy world.  That doesn't mean those scenarios are irrelevant.

I liked watchmen and V, both were political. I dont mind the crazy characters from watchmen coming up with some stupid plan in the end of the movie, they were, after all, pretty psychologically disturbed people. V was definitely an anarchistic revolution movie IMHO.

The Boy in the Striped PJ's was truly quite sad. I didnt know too much about it going in but the ending was touching.

Amadeus.  It was very very good, especially if you like classical music or Mozart.  The music was amazing.  The way the scenes and the music were interwoven was amazing.  And I really got a heavy hint of the same theme you get from The Fountainhead.  I highly recommend it.

I'm sneaking off to see Watchmen tonight.

And by sneaking, I mean checking to make sure everyone has everything they need, then announcing "see ya' later, alligator" and hopping in the car.

Watchmen almost needs to have a hood week / next weekend or it's probably curtains.

I think that the actor is amusing, so I liked it.

I have now seen Watchmen. I'm tired, and not just because it's late.
That was not an easy movie to watch.

As for upcoming movies, the trailer for Public Enemies looked pretty good.
