Just got out of the theater, watching Gran Torino. Probably Eastwood's best work, both acting and producing/directing. Awesome film.

You think so? I really liked the movie and his acting but, I thought the supporting cast was pretty weak.

It was still a quality film though.

I agree that Eastwood carried the entire film. I thought the Hmong chick was pretty good.

American Drug War: The Last White Hope

It was really good, and filled with stuff I already knew and felt. It kind of just pissed me off, but it was fucking amazing to see the inmates stick it to Sheriff Joe, and to hear Tommy Chong talk about his life.

I am going to watch "Methadonia" tonight... Hooray for Netflix!

I watched "Live and Let Die" last night. I've seen very few of the old Bond films, but this one was pretty entertaining.

Running the Sahara

Was just going to watch a few minutes of it, on my own, while doing some ironing. (Kids were playing video games w/Dad).
Ended up watching the whole thing, as a family. It was really engaging.

Hannah and Her Sisters.  Amazingly, my first exposure to a Woodie Allen movie......every character was irritating.

I think I've seen three or four of his movies, and would say the same thing about them all.

My favorite movies are the ones that make you laugh and cry almost at the same time. Tops in that category is La Vita è bella aka Life is Beautiful.
